They both are standoffish, but Gwendis actually acts like she likes you, and appreciates your accomplishments. The way Naryu's voice drips with sarcasm every time she calls me "hero" gets old.

I guess I just feel more familiar with Gwendis, she is more fleshed out as a character. I think perhaps Naryu is naturally the sort of person to keep you at a distance. Superficially I'd say Naryu but honestly I click more with Gwendis. We've been through more together.

They both grate on my nerves nearly every time they show up. Naryu more so, though, probably because she's supposed to be "cool". Doesn't work.

because through out the orsinium main quest she has a fantastic (if slightly cliche) character arc.

-she starts as a decently skilled noob who wants to be a hero
-transitions into being trusted with actual hero missions
-finds out that the local rulers are the bad guys and has a conflict with right =/= lawful
-comes to a head when she has to kill local lawmen in defense
-ends with not knowing what to do or if she wants to be a hero with it being so grey and not black and white.

a great side character that was a welcome surprise, im disappointed we have not seen her since.

I've loved Naryu since I met her in Deshaan during ESO's infancy. Her return in Vvardenfell with the game's first "chapter" was just icing.

I'm not a vampire hater, but when it comes to House Ravenwatch, Adusa-daro and Verandis are above her on my favorites list. Only major Ravenwatch character I can think of that I like less than Gwendis is Fennorian.

So yeah, unequivocally Naryu wins.

I don't like Gwendis. To me she always seems flustered, speaking super fast almost like she just ran a marathon, desperate to "get to the point" of a conversation

I love Naryu in all her antisocial behaviour, and emotionally manipulative flirtation Because in her serious moments she is actually smart, badass, and caring. Gwendis is cool too, but I'm not a fan of her character.

Maybe it's just because I did AD DC storyline (yeah, I goofed on that) this year and EP back in 2016 but I remember Gwendis much better. I liked her voice and I liked that she wasn't this cliche tortured vampire. Naryu's cold professional assasin schtick could get really old. Tsunderes are no fun if they don't warm up to you after a while.

But yeah, the best gal is clearly Eveli Sharp-Arrow. No contest there.

Neither, though if both of them were about to sink into molten lava and I had to save one, I'd probably rescue Gwendis.

(Or should I instead rescue Naryu, because Gwendis is immortal-ish and Naryu will die, eventually? Decisions, decisions...)
