Is there a way of turning off your champion points? ( so it doesn't show on your character what cp )

I would like some of my alts to have less cp. So basically I want the displayed champion points on each of my alts to be different say : my sorc cp 300, my main 8300
My templar 500cp...
I would like to be able to lower their cp so when im on one of my alts their cp would say '300 cp' instead of 8300 .
Why is is that when i remove points from my cp tree, the 8300 cp always shows. If you remove points from your character shouldnt your cp on that character go down too since achievements are not even account wide.

✭✭✭✭✭CP *is* account wide, you can chose how (or not) you want to spend that on each character individually, but all your level 50+ characters earn towards the shared CP pool.

Grey17✭✭✭I really would like to "mask" my CP level in Dungeons sometimes....
I'm over CP1000, and have 16 of 18 characters at max level, but I really only play three or four consistently. The others are crafters who sometimes score a dungeon when an event like this is on. For example everyone see's my Necro Tank is CP1040 and immediately thinks I'm a vet Tank, geared in golden perfected gear who knows all the ropes, can taunt 26,000 NPC at once while balancing a teacup on my head. Or they when my crafting toon's DPS isn't 80k, cause I'm not 100% familiar with the rotation, I get the bleating whining "Geez, ya over 1000CP and your DPS is crap...blah blah". I usually tell people at the start of a Dungeon, but many people just don't read chat.
It is something that gets on my goat like it did on the weekend (got the DPS rant) , but meh, I usually don't group outside guildies these days just because of things like this.
