Sometimes people in the forums criticize players for not using food and drink, and sometimes I see people talk about players who use the "wrong" food and drink.

So... What's the "right" food and drink? I expect this will vary depending on class and role, so feel free to make different suggestions for different classes and roles.

I'm sure my two contributions aren't META, and one or both might be the "wrong" food-- but here goes, just to start things off:

For my two Stamina-using mains, I like Lava Foot Soup-and-Saltrice, although Stamina Recovery doesn't seem to be working as well since Markarth-- which I'm hoping got fixed by today's patch.

For all of my characters, regardless of their class and role, I sometimes like to eat some Crusty Bread, just because it can be found lying around everywhere so I tend to find myself running around with a stack of it. Hey, it's free! And I can't seem to stop eating it.

    I didn't use food buffs until I had Champion Points. I was amazed at how much easier the game gets with the extra cushion of those bonus stats.

    For players doing general PVE:
    You know those tri-stat food/drinks ZOS throws at you for the daily login rewards? Those will do just fine.

    If you want something else:
    Stamina: Dubious Camoran Throne and Magicka: Witchmother's Potent Brew

    These are both holiday food/drinks, so they naturally scale with leveling players. They are frequently available on Guild Stores for fairly cheap prices. They've got a good mix of health, your main resource, and regen.

    In PVP, I'd stick with tri-stat food. If you play magicka, you really need the extra stamina. Purple foods did it for me for a long time, but now I use Bewitched Sugar Skulls for my PVP magicka characters.
