Just queued for random PVE dungeon daily, got PVP battleground instead.

I queued a random normal dungeon with my GF, first run of the day on both characters (hers and mine). We were put into a battleground instead. My Battleground tab shows that the daily is now completed ALONG with the dungeon, but I got no rewards for the dungeon.

Her daily dungeon is still purple (not completed), mine is blue (showing completed).

So ya, NOT only are dungeons borked, but now when you queue you get the chance to do PVP instead and miss out being able to even get your daily dungeon. LOL

This is a joke.


Ohh, on the bright side. I got 3 skill points for doing arena and our team won. She got second place and I was third

That sounds actually fun. Complete random Que normal trial, normal dungeon or battleground and if you finish it you will get an extra reward

I've never had or heard of this happening before. haha Pretty hilarious.

I don't even want to imagine doing a battleground in PvE gear. I would have probably just dropped and took the penalty instead of getting my ___ kicked for 15 minutes.

It was not easy. I was on a new magicka dragon knight, she was on a magicka sorc. Neither of us built with resist and my build was mostly AOE (which seemed to work in my favor). First time for us to be in a battleground as well (we dont PVP in ESO).

Thankfully some of the other teams were also weak/pve toons, so it was not like we were going up a complete brick wall.

To be fair though, you are a good pve player. I have seen you in some of the trial groups i used to play in before i went to pvp only, so i can kind of understand that even if you are in pve gear you could still kind of hold your own against opponents

Man I sincerely appreciate the kind commentary, those kinds of words are far and few between for me on these forums, LOL.

But that being said, I only ran trials a handful of times a couple years ago, and based on my 16 years of MMO experience I would not put me in the "good pve" player category in regards to ESO. I think I do OK in ESO, but I do not understand the underlying mechanics of how this game is built enough to make a character that does well enough to be considered "good". I also have issues with rotations, bar swapping, weaving etc. These do not really allow me to fit into the "good" category, as how I would define it.

So, thank you again, but I would be lying if I accepted your words as truth to my abilities in ESO, I am not that good. But I do appreciate it.

I am guessing it could have been someone else with the name Raideen. Some make this name based on "Raiden" from Mortal Kombat, but in fact my name is from a Japanese super robot named "Raideen".

I queued for a BG and ended up in a PvE dungeon. I assumed it was my mistake, but now I wonder.

I queued for vCoS ended up in vFG2. It just works.

That was the first thing I though and checked. I wondered if I had queued for a BG instead of a random dungeon by accident.
However...
1. I don't pvp, I mean AT ALL. I got three skill points for winning. I assume this happens once per character when entering or winning a battleground. This is proof that I dont do battlegrounds and was my first time.
2. I have never "accidentally" queued for a BG before, on any character. I know how to read and I always double check that I am specced as DPS, and I ask her to check if she is as well because we have queued into dungeons with the wrong spec before, so I always double check that we are actually ready to queue.
3. My GF and I were queuing for random normals to get our 10 transmute crystals. I was on a character that had not done dungeons at all for that day, so I know my daily was not on cooldown. Yet when we finished the battleground my daily random was on cooldown even though I got no rewards, hers was not.

I was happy we both got 3 skill points. I was happy she got second place, I was happy we won, but it's still not what we signed up to do.

I have played wow since 2004, I never ONCE had anything like that happen in that game. I am not trying to be mean towards ZOS, but I really have little confidence in the coding of the game.

Much the same way some messes up the dungeon difficulty as its normal base dungeons then normal dlc, vet base and vet dlc.
