Excavating crashes game

While excavating, I use the shovel to remove a 3x3 section of dirt. This has caused the game to freeze 4 times over the past 2 days, I think something that was patched must be causing it because it never crashed before the 2.11 patch on the 23rd. Anyone else experiencing this / have a fix(besides reinstalling)?

5 times now. It doesn't happen every time I use the shovel, not even every time it's able to remove a full 9 blocks from the 3x3 square. I think it might only happen when it removes all the dirt above the antiquity, at the same time. Maybe the unnecessary animation of uncovering a section of the antiquity is just too much to handle when it sparkles for all the sections of the antiquity at the same time?

Has happened to me twice now, but I'm not certain if the first time was the same using the shovel. Definitely the second time even though most the area wasn't over the item. Very annoying.

Has happened to me several times, on 2 different characters. Always when using the big shovel. Xbox EU

The fact these idiots charge for the skill line for it to crash during its primary function is ridiculous. Either remove it entirely till it’s fixed or don’t release it; makes no sense how stuff like this is happening. One google search and there was endless posts about this exact issue.
