Strange dungeon finder bug

Hi there, I just experience one of strangest bugs in my ESO history. Don't see any reports of it on the forum, so here it goes:

We queued as 3 person party (2DD + 1H) for random normal dungeon on PC EU. It found a group, showed ready check, everything fine here. Everyone accepted the ready check and then... apparently I left the group:

After that I landed back in the queue. When I tried to cancel it, I got kicked from the server with "Unable to Connect to Game Server" error.

After logging back into my character I was in a group with 4 people and they were doing the dungeon as if nothing happened, I was able to join them with 'Travel to player' so at the end nothing bad happened, but it was really confusing.

I've seen it flash briefly that I've also left the group, but then I'm ported into the dungeon as normal. PCNA

EDIT: This was a few days ago though, before the latest patch.

The dungeon finder actually removes anyone in a premade from a group and then reforms the group as a foursome for the dungeon when the queue pops. You can also see this with add-ons like pchat, which will reset to your default chat channel from the group channel if the game is even slightly too slow in reforming for the new dungeon.

Normally it works fine - it disbands any premades, forms the new group, and puts everyone in the right dungeon.

Sometimes things go (very) wrong during that process. People have been put into the wrong dungeons without other groupmates, or (as in your case) dropped from game entirely (though it sounds like the new group did form and everyone else got in ok).

But the fact it dropped you from your premade is (to the best of my understanding) a normal part of the process that is supposed to remain behind the scenes. It's only when the process takes too long or bugs out that we can see the evidence of it.
