I.... haven't really noticed that issue personally. And I have a LOT of wardens. A LOT. *counting* 16 of them. They always stay behind my characters and to the left when not in combat - and that's behind by probably 6 feet....

When I'm out of combat the bear is standing inside me. I have to move around just to loot mobs I killed because the bear is right on me every time.
I was doing some leveling on my EU warden yesterday and the bear's ability to consistently move after combat to stand on lootable corpses was amazing. I don't think a couple of extra seconds of resource recovery before the next fight is worth the aggravation of having to move enough to force the bear to reposition.
It's not new. I have put this same suggestion up, or agreed that it is a problem on a thread, several times in the past 2+ years.
It happened after a patch. Originally the bear popped to a spot directly behind the warden after every fight was over. Then we had a patch and suddenly the bear was on top of the character after every fight, blocking the character from looting the mob.
