Mine... walking off cliff when they introduced cross bow mechic in a dungeon. I thought there must be a bottom!

There have been many, but recently I was racing someone to a treasure chest and although I got there first I somehow managed to dodge-roll of the cliff and the other player got the chest. I'm sure they were laughing their ass off!

1st time in Craglorn - thought one of those celestial rifts was a Psijic treasure trove ... learned fast that it wasn't

The first Midyear Mayhem event, I wound up in charge of a full raid of PUGs because it was early morning and I was the only one in group with an idea of where to go.

We recaptured the emp ring and then decided, "Hey, let's go for a scroll!"

So we head for AD's scroll temple.

First mistake: one of AD's back keeps has a giant cliff on the backside. Guess who led her entire raid straight off it?


Second mistake: by the time we'd made it to the scroll temple, AD had recaptured one of their back keeps...and that's how I discovered that the scroll temple has a barrier that does 1 million damage!

Oh, there was much laughter in raid, both with me and at my expense.

I was fairly new to the game, went into a delve, walked around a corner and almost bumped into a mob. So I went triggerhappy, dropped my aoe, my ulti, started nuking and what not but the mob did not fight back. Eventually, I found out that that the "mob" was just another player.

Ugh. Spent 20 minutes swimming around a cliff to get a skyshard then saw that there was a road leading right up to it.

Streak and overshoot the teleport pad at the Eld Angavar spawn right at the beginning of the match. Never died faster but we still won lol.

Although I've also walked through it normally and fallen to my death a few times because it's just buggy.

Other than that mistaking shallow water for deep water, when taking a short cut.

Those portals in Craglorn first time seeing one I though it was one of those Psijic portals.

First time going to Cyrodiil a few years ago, didn't know how to get into the Imperial city at the time, tried swimming, first time I learnt that the rivers were full of slaugherfish had only been in PVE zones up till that point so thought only deep ocean water was dangerous. I didn't manage to get out of the water in time.

Can't really think of anything else that stands out too much.

Took me several months to discover that you could buy stuff from other guild stores but you had to hit R first.

I didn't know how swords and shields worked... for a long time. When I got a shield I equipped it as my main weapon and couldn't figure out how the hell you do damage with it So I gave up, and unequipped it, and I am embarassed to say how long it took me to realize how main hand/off hand weapons worked I didn't know about difficulty modes, and when I cleared Maelstrom Arena on normal I was so befuddled and happy for clearing the thing everyone talked about. Then I found out there is something called 'vet', and let's just say I spent months in it... I've also sold kutas to NPC vendors, and of course fell (quite literally) for the 'there's is a Skyshard down there' joke in my first run in Sanctum Ophidia. In Cyrodiil I rode up to an enemy keep, and tried to go through a door, and ended up being killed by the Mages, and once I spent almost 20 minutes cloaked and unmoving on the side of Allesia bridge, at the very edge, because I got caught in a fight between enemy factions, and couldn't get away. Game blunders are the best

Found a "Imperial Style" motive book and went to store it on one of my mule alts until i decided what to do with it and once i had it in the alts inventory i accidentally "used" it on the alt.

5 years later and i'm still bitter about it ...

When I was low level, gathered few friends, and walked into normal HRC. We were 5 or 6. And we were not ready. No proper gear nor skills, nothing. Needless to say, it didn't go very well.

In hindsight: Refusing to join a trading guild for years. I was ok on my own, but it is by far better being in a nice trading guild.

First time in PvP on a magsorc, accidentally mashing the streak button (PS4) while standing on the top of a keep and yeeting myself into space. Must have been hilarious to the sieging Alliance below as I splatted on the ground.

Oh where do I even begin.... My first blunder was of course right off a cliff. I now jump off cliffs for fun though. Another blunder was swimming towards an island in Auridon because I needed to know what was there and dying from slaughterfish. Took me a few tries to actually realize why I had died (yea... didn't read the notification for the achievement). First time in Cyrodil I attempted swimming the water to reach Imperial City *because I legit thought that's what you had to do to get there*. First time in Craglorn I stumbled across what I thought was a Psijic portal. It was not in fact a Psijic portal. Also at some point I attempted a Trial because I legit thought it was just a dungeon. Oh and many blunders in dungeons have been made. Walking off cliffs, into lava, and into mobs. I was quite the explorer as a low level noob and dying was like my bread and butter tbh.

ESO is the first MMO I played, keep that in mind…

When we first attempted the vet spindle, there was a pro guy with us (by that I mean he was above cp160 and none others were in the group), he played tank. We wiped a lot in a fight that spawns lot of mobs

Then he said if he can switch to dps then we may have a chance, but someone needs to be the tank. I volunteered. I went slashing and hitting as many mobs as I can with my sword and board but we still wiped. Eventually we gave up but he said props to me for holding out (I was always the last to die)

Months later I discovered that to be a tank you need to have taunt

I was questing and noticed someone following me around. Every time I went to gather a resource they ran behind me, trying to get there first, or so I thought. I was getting pretty irritated until I realized it was an NPC doing the quest with me.

Was jogging down a river collecting mats and killing incidental landscape mobs that were in my way. Got my butt handed to me by some rando bandit and thought I must've got my fingers on the wrong keys, rezzed, got killed again. Wtf?!! This time I started paying attention and she was really whaling on me, I couldn't believe it. Was I suddenly nerfed? Was my computer dying?? ...nope, it was a world boss, I just really did NOT look up and see that ginormous red bar until I was good and baffled. And this was well before I could even come close to soloing a WB.

It was so unbelievably frustrating at the time because I was a newbie but I rolled off the top of Greenheart, in greenshade multiple times and had to fight my way back up to the top via the cave over and over.

Accidentally dodge-rolling off of a cliff in Wrothgar while harvesting a clothing survey. I removed the double-tap dodge command after that.

I spend a fair bit of time in Cyro, and had a toon that had collected 50 Gladiator Proofs...
I managed to have a "couple" of beers one night and must've vendored them all to an NPC in error.
This was at the time you could get a LOT of gold for the proceeds.

Fall damage is an leading cause of death there.

Flying mounts are a thing, for some seconds.
Once in Cyrodil some wiped most of our zerg lemming style
Vivec temple, its quite possible to die going down from it.

Going to the Maw of Lorkhaj trial by myself because some khajit told me some shady stuff was going on in there. (The Dark Moon's Jaws quest in Hew's Bane).

For some reason I didn't take the cat man seriously when he said "Bakhum would feel better if he brought some muscle along. You have eleven friends, yes?". I didn't have eleven friends so that didn't go well.
