Why can't we deconstruct furniture?

What am I supposed to do with all these burnt sticks, fish, jester boxes, banners and witches totems? Or last year's furnishings I made? I'd love to get *something* back.

They're trash rewards, designed to give you 'something' as filler so you don't feel that you got nothing at all, but it all also serves no useful purpose, especially in the quantities you get it.

That way - you don't overburden yourself with too much useful stuff, and stop striving for 'the good stuff'.

It keeps you hungry for the next chance at a reward that might have something worthwhile in it.

Use them to win themed housing competitions like I did lol.

Sell any of those items with value to a vendor. Destroy the stuff with a zero gold value, unless you want to use it.
