Werewolf is at good place. It has advantages and disadvantages, it's not meta but pretty good when built for it and also is an option for casual fun even when not built. Just check The Rift WW shrine and you are likely to find a free bite.
Note that WW is mostly stamina thing. Nothing stops taking WW with magikca char but results will be... casual.
Currently WW ultimate morph is bugged and can spontaneously reset to base - eating a skill point - but fix and refund of missing skill point is supposed to drop at 16th. Do not try to morph it before fix.
Edit: typed wrong zone for shrine, fixed.
OmenRIP...
If you are not sure you wish to go that route totally, make an alternate character that will become a dedicated werewolf. It will at the very least let you experience it before you change your main.

That said, you don't need to be a werewolf to solo that boss. I really like this boss because it emphasizes the importance of blocking, interrupting, and target prioritization. Manage your stamina, focus on one wolf at a time, and make sure you have some means of healing. My magSorc has 17.5k health after food, a passive heal through Crit Surge, and no pets, and as long as I pay attention to what I'm doing, he can handle them.
One of my problems is that my pets start blasting as soon as I fire the first shot. I try to keep him alive with Hardened Ward, but as soon as the Familiar is dead, they rush me. Maybe I shouldn’t use the Familiar’s special function, since that hits all 3 warewolves.
If I may ask, what do you have slotted to replace the 2 pets? My primary is DD while my backup is AOE. But ‘wasting’ 2 spell spots on each bar is a royal PITA.
The Twilight has saved my butt several times with instant heal and the Twilight keeps mobs occupied while I concentrate on the main one. I can solo some overland mobs unless they have too many adds.

I’ve been running the short route between the Glenumbra dolmen and the 3-boss warewolf camp. The dolman is fun, especially when a lot of folks are playing.
But the warewolf camp is a whole ‘mother story. I tried getting my Familiar the aggro of the 3 werewolves by using his special and casting hardened ward as fast as I can. Then I laid down 2 dots under them. As soon as I do that, they Zerg rush me and all is done ☹️
Now a magsorc DPS with 2 pets at CP413 with not so bad gear, I expected at least a longer fight. But no matter what tactic I try, when they Zerg rush I’m dead.
While I’m waiting for them to spawn again, a CP363 warewolf with his 2 pack summoned wolves rushes right at them. I put him in the dead column, but I thought that maybe I can help him live a little longer. But much to my surprise he’s tanking all 3 warewolves (with his 2 pets) and he’s WINNING! My lord I was astounded! He could’ve taken out all 3 by himself! But at the end I waded into the fur fight and helped him kill some of the almost dead warewolves.
I thought it was just a fluke, but after another dolmen run I saw him single handedly finish off all 3 warewolf bosses solo!
Please comfort me; I think I chose the wrong profession ☹️
I did what you said picking off 1 werewolf at a time and it worked! Thanks for the advice!

That's awesome! 😀 I'm glad it worked out for you!
My werewolf ultimate is oddly at level 1 and unmorphed since Markarth...
