Motif for the starter clothes?

Personally, i like the starter clothing very much and have always liked it.

I think those clothes should be granted when a player does the tutorial for the first time with no charge at all. Just a starting reward for new players plus it also should be automatically granted to old players when they log in.

If the starter clothing changes with expansions, those too should be given and to old player retroactively depending on what expansion they have first logged in.

I think there are already gray and white costume slot items that mimic these, are there not?

As part of the level up rewards, you get the original prison rags. I don't think there's a way to replicate the starter outfits from later tutorials.

Hmm, maybe I simply don't recall what my starter clothes were then lol.

I'd even go a step further and add in all stealable clothes as style pages. I think there are some nice, simple dresses, gloves and shoes available as grey quality items that we can equip but not use as outfit styles.

I admit running around in an outfit styled as a starter set would be rather awesome. I don't need it of course but I certainly want it for no logical reason.

Agree but will loose my not geared indicator.

Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I think I destroyed my starter clothing on my older characters for the inventory space, but I usually try to keep it on my newer characters-- not because I particularly like it, but I guess more for archival or sentimental reasons.

This reminds me, at one point I started collect all those pieces of clothing you find in containers when you're looting, but then I ended up selling them because I needed the space back in my storage chests. Now that I've deconstructed all the set gear I was hanging onto, I can go back to collecting street clothes again-- within reason!

I thought that was the Soul Shriven motif? Though I guess it depends on which intro you played.

A couple of my alt account characters recently started back in the Morrowind tutorial - and I forgot how cool the basic starter jerkin is. Awesome Pirate look I’d like to be able to use as a style!

I also have a mule alt that still just wears the original prisoner’s rags. Lol.

I like both this idea and the starter clothing one!

i too, would apreciate all that clothing to be as style pages or some such as well as having options to hide shoulders, gloves, boots and belt in any outfit to really make clothing useful for my mages.

Like when i played Skyrim (Or play) as a mage, i never have any weapons unless the mage knows bound weapons or armor OR has some special weapon on one hand (Which also, would be super option to have option for just one handed and having other hand empty as well as not being locked for weapon to really gain resources)..

In any case, i currently have tons of clothing on my bank.. All that to be converted to styles would be great.

And also, preferrably not all in Crown store, but the basic clothes that allready exist, should be added as style when found to make it more immersive. Crown store could sell more special pieces then.

    Idea on how to unlock
Tutorial clothing and weapon(that elsweyr totorial wooden sword looks nice) would be to complete the main story for that zone
For stealable cloth i was thinking well... just steal them

The starter clothes are different in every tutorial. The starting clothes from the original tutorial are already available as outfit options. I would know, because I used them to make my character look like a homeless person.
The Morrowind tutorial has different pants that are only available as clothing which you have to keep or steal from NPCs while the chest piece is in the Abah's Watch style.
All the items in the Summerset tutorial are clothes you need to steal, but aren't in the oufit system unfortunately.
I don't remember the Elsweyr and Greymoor tutorial clothes because I didn't do them often enough yet.

A lot of the casual wear should be made into outfit options to be honest. Some of them look really good. There was a time when the only kilt in the game had to be stolen xD

Well. I do have the original prisoners clothing from launch on my bank still, and while the prisoner outfit IS almost the same, there are some differencies on the material mainly. The outfit options are too shiny compared to original . The Robe option from original tutorial is missing completely.

Morrowinf tutorial clothing is actually available as an costume which is nice, but sucks in customisation compared to outfit pieces.

In any case, they should be given to players as rewards from either starting that chapter or from completing that chapters main story.

Plus without options to hide certain pieces of armors on outfits, these clothings dont work properly. It should be up to player whether they want to wear gloves or shoulderpieces and so forth.

The ankle irons are also missing from the prisoner outfit style as well, for some baffling reason. That and the prisoner robes are no longer even really seen in the game if you didn't play from the beginning as the classes that started with the items.
