Do I have to equip the item to get it in the new style/gear book? I think that is the case, but I would like to validate that.

    No,

    Deconning the gear will make it go to your sticker book

    Selling to an NPC (when it's no longer able to be "bought back") will count.

    or you can equip it.

    If it's BoP gear, it'll go on right away

    If it's BoP gear, with the 2 hour group trade timer, it'll go into the sticker book when the 2 hour timer is up (or you sell/decon)

    I like to equip just to clear the item in the sticker book and make it clear which pieces I can sell in the guild trader, which I do before I decon things.

    It's necessary to bind item or make it in any way unaccessible. You can equip item, bind it via menu, destroy, decon, even sell to vendor (item will get added to collection when it gets out of buy back stack). Maybe transmute would work too as it binds item to your account.

    There is also a "Bind" option in the menu (in the Gamepad UI at least)

    May work too. Yes, it says "collected" or "not collected" below info about being bound or not

    Probably, but I bind and then research just to be sure! Actually, I bind before selling or deconstructing too, often as soon as I pick up the item — no particular reason other than I feel better that way! :lol:

    From what I saw:

    Dungeon/Trial Share time runs out -> automatically added to Sticker Book
    "Buy Back" list from vendors reset -> automatically added to Sticker Book
    Deconning -> automatically added to Sticker Book
    Researching -> automatically added to Sticker Book

    The only non-obvious one is selling to a vendor. If you can still buy back, it won't be added to the book for a while.

    All the other ways we expect do add automatically to the book.

    Yes right mouse click and select bind on pc.

    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Yes, transmuting works. I did this two days ago and saw the item added to the collection.

    When i find something in my inventory that shows "Not collected" i simply right click on it and select "bind item" which triggers the sticker book.

    No need to decon, sell, equip etc.

    No, that is the whole point.

    If you add it, you can't sell it to other players (or trade in a dungeon/trial).

    So I could have saved time by just deconning rather than going through all my items and manually binding each an every item I haven't collected? :| Not that I wasted that much time...

    I honestly didn't even worry about it anymore after the 2nd day.

    Unless you are putting stuff on your guild trader. Otherwise almost everything will collect the item.

    You have to scroll down to see the "not collected" message in green. I did not see a "collected" indicator, but the green part was missing.
