So... bots are real here

So, this player has been doing this for over 15 minutes (yes I was insane enough to watch it) and it really looks like scripted movements. It's the first time I've seen it. I was starting to believe this game didn't have bots.
Oh well, what do you guys think? I reported this but I'd feel bad if the guys is just doing that for whatever reason.

That appears, to me, to be an automated script (AutoHotkey is a common one) which is essentially a form of botting but more complex scripts/software are used to do the same thing. Watching your video, it comes off as sort of "anti-afk" script to keep them from getting booted from the server for being idle, granted at the same time it looks a bit complex for something so simple since just automating a movement or jump key could accomplish the same thing. Who knows really, 100% that is an automation of some sort though, no question.

There are many many of us that have seen botting since the game came out in 2014, no question, so yes, bots are 100% real in ESO. The last time I personally saw one was last summer (2019). Most botting in ESO is used to farm mats so they can capitalize sales or farm gold without lifting a finger. Bot trains are common as well doing the same things (more accounts doing the same exact task). There are also several instructional videos on YouTube on how to bot farm in ESO but I absolutely will not link them here.

This video is an example of a bot train farming on PC, the same happens on all platforms.

Something I noticed a week ago or so was when I was farming some mats in Betnikh. When looting a node I had the occupied sound as if someone else was farming it already, with clearly noone around but me. Node disappeared before my eyes. Had it happen several times so yeah, also onderground farming is real. I'm PC EU btw.

At first I though it was an anti-afk mechanism too. However, the movements are so "odd" that I suspected the character just got stuck at a spot in which the bot couldn't get off so it kept repeating the same actions.
Also, that "train farming" is just insanely try-hard. Imagine having all those accounts banned... that's totally not worth it.
