Goodbye Ps4 ESO Community

This is no "Mad rage quit".

I am just moving from Ps4 to Xbox Series X next month and since I can't transfer my account, I am deleting my PSN account and selling Ps4 I just wanted to say goodbye.

The Ps4 Community has been very kind and have enjoyed my time with you all. You are all the greatest of Madlads.

Not sure what the Microsoft deal has to do with anything.

Not only the buyout hasnt even gone through yet(expected sometime next year), even when it does, its not like Microsoft is just going to pull the game from PS4 or force some worse version of the game on that console.

Like what are ppl even expecting to happen? Newsflash, ESO is not a big enough game on console for Microsoft to pull any kind of shady moves.

Isn't it the best MMO available for Xbox?
I mean if your friends play on Xbox then I see no reason not to jump over and play with them.

I fully expect that the PS5 will have ESO, I just hope they upgrade it a bit for the system because that thing is a monster when it comes to imersive gameplay. haptic feedback, 360 sound, rapid loading.

If I still had a T.V maybe I'd get one.

No point in deleting your PSN is there.
I switched for 360 to PS4 last gen, I still obviously have my gamertag and all my digital games, and the 360 itself!

TBH it is a bit of a stupid move to move to the xbox period!
Xbox LITTERALLY has no exclusives at all, if you are going to move platform you should move to PC.
Any logical person who likes video games would have a PC, PS4/5 and a nintendo... Again xbox has no exclusives.

ESO forums' Mods don't like goodbye threads, I'm guessing they will delete this one as soon as they see it... they actually don't like almost 90% of everything now that I think of it

I guess moderation relies more on keywords than content, I agree that this thread will be closed soon just because the keyword "goodbye".
If not, I would be curious as well for the OP motiivation to switch platforms.

I can't speak for the OP, but here's my perspective.

I'm not ready to upgrade to next gen just yet, but the Microsoft deal will almost certainly be a major factor in my platform choice when I eventually do decide to upgrade. I'm not really concerned about MS suddenly pulling the plug on ESO for PS4/5, but ESO isn't the only game I care about.

Between the Zenimax acquisition and the previous Obsidian acquisition, MS has set themselves up to have some wicked WRPG exclusives in the next generation. They've also got more powerful hardware than Sony, and a better online infrastructure. There's a good chance those factors (among others) will outweigh the downside of having to switch ecosystems.

Also, the fact that the MS acquisition hasn't officially closed yet doesn't mean much. There hasn't been any indication that it won't go through as expected.

Hi. I’m doing exactly the same at the end of the month. Simply because my son has offered to buy me one for my birthday ! He is 33 so I’m enjoying the role reversal. I’m to blame for getting him into gaming. I bought him a Sega mega drive when he was 3 just so I could play it lol. Had great fun when we played Sonic and Tails. I was always Tails lol. We went through all the consoles : Saturn, Dreamcast and even went to the dark side and bought an Nintendo for my daughter. Anyway quite looking forward to playing from scratch again. I’ve been with PlayStation and PC right from the launch of ESO. So I’ll miss my main characters and collectibles etc 😢 Happy gaming to all.

Yeah, maybe "Leaving PS4 and moving to Xbox" would have been a better title for the thread.

There are a few reasons. The Main is that Sony has made some decisions with the PS5/PS4 that I can't support morally. I am not trying to get political or anything. That is the reason I am deleting my PSN account, because I don't ever see myself coming back. Which is sad because I have owned every generation of PS since PS1.

Just wanted to say my thanks for the community itself and appreciate the time spent in it before I left.

It’s a good discussion imo and I’m glad to see people keeping it friendly. I’d suggest not deleting your psn account (can you even do that?) in case you want to revisit later down the road. I agree with others in that even if you move to xbox as a console, I would go to PC for ESO. I think it has and will have more legs there than on either console platform, especially as more next gen games come out.

I’m also in the camp that a good way to game is PC & PS as primary high end platforms, then whatever other stuff suits your fancy. Could be I’m biased, but I just prefer the way the PS controller feels over xbox and am already invested in that ecosystem. Even if xbox is technically more powerful, the same games are likely to be on PC and lets be honest - mods are where it’s at for top quality visuals and those are best on PC. Personally I’m staying PS for now then probably building a new PC for ES6 when it comes out in 4 years.

You can be banned for voice chat. All voice will be recorded and if someone flags you for offensive speach you will be banned. Big little japanese brother always listening and much more.

my pc doesnt have a microphone so i guess im safe..

have you seen the new m1 chip inside the macbook, pro and mac minis? it has 25 teraflops of video power and a powerful 8 core arm cpu... though you must configure it at time of purchase as it is not internally upgradeable. 16 gb ram and a 512 ssd will set you back nearly 1200 and it will run intel apps with rosetta2 without a hitch. If i had 1200 to throw at it i would order it now. these new consoles by comparison each offer 12 teraflops graphics power..
