Is there a reason for double drops when harvesting?

I was out just now on a not-quite 25, just "sightseeing" around Western Skyrim. When I'm out like that I always gather whatever's around. Today, she's getting things like 6 ore, 2 bast or heartwood, 6 flax and so on. I didn't know there was anything going on right now, event-wise?

No event that I know of - unless that character somehow has Plentiful Harvest passive. <runs to WS to check “for science”>

The Plentiful Harvest passive will give you a chance at double drops. It's somewhere in the Green constellations in your Champion Points.

That I know about, but this is my EU account with no CP yet. I'm just not wanting to be in the position of using an exploit.

I think it may be a random chance. I have seen it sometimes, though I could have the CP items for it.

Well, wasn't random today - it was every time I harvested something, which was SO weird I finally quit picking anything as I didn't want to be doing something "wrong".

(That is a joke for the humor impaired, though I will talk almost any free mat in the game.)

Western Skyrim has been double drops since the update - it's been reported and acknowledged elsewhere on the forum. Unlike the fact Vvardenfell and Clockwork city were giving out event tickets they don't seem to have prioritized this one.

Oh. Well, then, I guess I'll just not pick while I'm there. I don't remember reading about it, but I don't read every thread of course.

I dunno - do you think I should bug-report it in game tomorrow?

are you afraid you could be found guilty of exploiting? if it's an error that is basically affecting all players, so subtile and not truly trackable, i doubt you can be punished for double-farming a few corn flowers.

I'll definitely farm nodes in skyrim when i'm there, i'll just not go there for hardcore farming.

It's just habit really. I have GOBS of mats, no need to farm until it's fixed....

If you could get banned for harvesting it is time to quit the game.

I farm most everything I see because GOBS of mats can decrease a lot if you start doing daily crafting writs, among other things!

Are you actually getting the ticket, though? Because they claim to have fixed this so the tickets themselves don’t drop, but the UI still shows them.

It's not really reasonable for them to ask you to not harvest nodes just because they are bugged.

Well, it's still going on - in every zone I've been in while leveling antiquities on an alt. I'm not going out of my way to harvest EVERYTHING like I normally do, but if it's in front of me, I'm taking it.

I noticed the extra drops too but tought the double harvesting drops was intentional gimmick to get more people to Western Skyrim and went to do other things at other zones. ZOS often starts things like that and posts a notice few days after.
