There's already four (4) pages of Colovian War Torte on Tamriel Trade Center (PC NA), @Scritchel.

If you're angling for a farming spot, I doubt players are going to give that info away early in the patch ...

It seems too rare for a base recipe to me. It is the equivalent level to a Psijic Ambrosia at 50% XP. But it has the drop rate of an Aetheric cipher. I have a ton of Cyrodiil Citris and have farmed for the 500,000 Telvar to buy the next level recipe. But after farming nodes for over a week on several characters, hours at a time, no base recipe has dropped. It doesn’t make sense for it to be that rare.

I have not seen a single one nor has anyone in my guild. I don't get the rationale, the torte has limited utility as it is, so why make the drop so incredibly rare? It's basically only good for leveling to 10, so if you are already maxed out, you don't need it for anything. The citrus is so prevalent that it's caused prices to drop on the torte because even with the limited number of sellers, no one is buying and it is cheap to make. I guess it's fine for altoholics, but if they can buy a stack of 10 for 30-40K, it's not worth farming to start with when they can spend that time leveling instead. Anyone new to the game who would really benefit would not be able to afford the torte. The intent appears to be only enabling alt leveling for experienced players, and if that's the case, making it an incredibly rare drop is pointless.

Exactly. Why doesn't the food grant AP percentage increases too? It's rarity would indicate you get a lot more out of it.

Because when you get tired of looking for it, or want the 100% or 150% boost, all you have to do is open the crown store and buy the premade scrolls.

The trick is to empty the nodes you come across and then circle back to loot them again. every time a node in Cyrodiil respawns, it has a chance to spawn the recipe instead. as for the mourning dew, that's probably about the same drop rate as aetherial dust.

it's just ridiculous. what's the point of having such items in the game if you may not even be able to acquire any significant amount before it becomes obsolete. there should be secondary purposes for both Ambrosia and War Tortes after you gain max level in PvE and PvP respectively. it should also be easier to get ingredients like Mourning Dew and Aetherial Dust. (Rubyblossom Extract ought to be cheaper as well to stay in line with these changes)

As long as you can theoretically acquire the recipes and ingredients in-game, then no one can declare the easy to obtain Crown Store versions (Alliance War Skill 50%, 100%, and 150% XP scrolls) as being "pay to win."
