Crystal Weapons with bow synergy

I recently started leveling a stamsorc, and noticed a strange behavior with crystal weapon: if recast after light attacking, but before the arrow hits, I will cast the ability, but not get the crystal weapons buff for the next light attack. this is true even if I cast it after firing an unbuffed arrow (neither it nor the next arrow gets extra dmg applied). I know there's an issue with light attack weaving on ranged attacks, is this a side effect of that issue or is this another bug? Or is this the intended behavior of the skill?

✭✭✭The skills buff gets consumed on landing a light attack, not launching it, so when using it with a bow you cast to buff your next light attack, or arrow thats already in the air.1
