So far, vateshan looks way better than maelstrom arena, more expansive, more secrets, more fun in general, the only thing is that i do not like the minotaur boss a lot, a bit annoying.

Anyway vate, light and heavy attack scaling are by far the best things introduced in this patch. The minor major rework is pretty meh overall, some good, some bad.

I really love the design, like it feels not like a dps flex but a true gamer challenge. If the bugs weren't so prominent then I would still be going for it with passionate heart

I also like the increased stat thing, it gives a reward to exploration, and also makes it possible to do really high numbers.

    It looks very fun.

Unfortunately it is very unenjoyable with the current state of the light attacks/animations.

I can't wait to try it you when they actually fix those.

I’ve done vet Vateshran - it’s quite good especially the final boss fight but tbh I like vMA better due to the increased 360 degree craziness that goes on . If Vateshran was vMA, the adds you kill on the way to each wing boss would spawn DURING the boss fight lol.

Idk vMA seems more frenetic and less forgiving therefore more fun.

Iv'e gotta disagree, harder does not necessarily mean more fun to me.

I am not sure we did the same arena... What's worse is that the dps flex is much more add-on reliant, excluding mini+boss in green portal, the other bosses are waiting for your slaughter, be mag, prebuff Elemental Susceptibility and channeled with elfbane master architect balorgh, desto ult, swap to mechanical/ms+siroria+maw/ring of pale order, nuke nuke nuke. 12 seconds destro ult buffed by major slayer that has high crit throughout the thing = a lot of damage. The extra 10k max mag before buffs definitely helps that too.

I think the minotaur boss and the qualifiers needed to kill the moron are a good way to lose customers, i play this game for enjoyment not endless frustration trying to merc one creature over and over is not enjoyable AT ALL. fire whoever pitched frustrating customer's.

I enjoyed it more than MA. Farmed all the sets, & a few style pages yesterday.

Probably won't go back now that I got all the stuff.

I liked it better than Maelstrom (even the minotaur fight) as well, at least until the end. Then it turns into another lame DPS race. But I do agree in respect to the rest of the arena. It was well done and challenging without relying on DPS gimicks that do nothing but alienate builds and players.

I absolutely loathed Maelstrom with a passion. It was one of the most annoying experiences I've ever had on a game.

    Same.

I like a good challenge. But if it's so hard it turns into frustration then it ceases to be fun. And I play games to have fun. Not to be annoyed.

I like that it feels like a group trial, with the different add and boss areas and that it doesn't have rounds (though I do miss the audience commentary of vMA). I also like the aesthetics of the different wings. Mechanics-wise, I don't think it's as creative as vMA, and it's based on a lot of incoming damage to make things hard. The only exception is the last boss fight, which is very nicely designed, and the only unforgiving of the boss fights. I think vMA and vVH have a lot of parallels with vDSA and vBRP, and sadly neither of the newer arenas can replicate the challenge of the original arenas on their release, for many reasons. As for the achievements, nowadays I think FC is much more doable, as it allows taking your time and using any and all sigils, than Spirit Slayer, because the latter has a time limit, and I think that will be the biggest hurdle for most players, especially if they are going for the side buffs. All in all, it's nice to have a new solo content, but it terms of pure combat challenge, it leaves something to be desired.
