Crash to desktop without crash report option

Crashed to desktop 10 seconds into a Battleground, no Crash Reporter came up, no error codes.

Needs to be addressed.

I do not always get a crash report when the client crashes though I have only crashed once in the past few months.

I have been skeptical that anyone actually reads them anyhow. Some things that reliably cause crashing go on for years. I think it is a skeleton of something Zos intended to use but no longer does.

Had this a few times since the update along with a lot of my guild mates, its like being Alt = F4'd, no error report or nothing. Then character is already logged in upon retrying to login.

I haven't seen them mention this on the official bugs list so would be nice to see them address this issue.

Happens to us a few times in vet Tempest Island and vet Wayrest Sewers.

Two of my friends were using notebooks so I thought maybe it was due to not enough resources. Then it happened to me and I’m on a desktop with 32GB RAM and GTX1060 6GB. So, it’s definitely buggy.

Happened twice to me in vSS just now, and with the majority of the group also experiencing at least one crash like this, with one who got lucky three times. Someone in the group had caught this in Event Viewer but doesn't have an account here so posting for him:

Many crashes since this update in all areas and mostly without a crash report. Before this update I maybe had one or two crashes a year.

Crashes happening at multiple occasions, in group content, excavation etc. Also receiving a new type of error ~ "Lost Lobby connection" when trying to login after character selection.

The crash to desktop happened to me during a group dungeon run and to a friend during a Cyro run.

I can confirm, happens in the BG all the time, mainly when we're winning.. annoying as hell.

Yeah, a lot of our group have been kicked to the desktop on a number of occassions whilst in Cyrodil and IC. Sometimes two or three people at the same time. No crash report or any kind of notification. Obviously not ideal because the character is still logged onto the server and therefore left vulnerable to death by another party. Outside of this issue, performace seems good, but loosing Tel Var stones because of a game crash is a bit of tooth-grinder!

I've gotten two crashes to desktop tonight in the last 3 hours, both times when I've been in a deserted area and not doing anything at all intensive (i.e., not in a giant Cyrodiil faction stack).

Lots of crashes today while doing random dungeons. I noticed party members crashes, my game chrashed a few times as well. Take a long time to get back in.

Crashes just like this (game closes instantly, no error) are happening to me and to my friends. We experienced several crashes during vSS. It's not only trials, but dungeons as well. Scalecaller peak seems to be ultra broken. We tried to do a HM achievement but every single time atleast one person crashed during boss fight. One try, three of us crashed at once. And the ZOS response to raising the issue was this:

Currently the game is too unstable not only for trial progression but also for dungeon achievements (no death, trifecta). If you somehow manage to get lucky and not have a crash you still have to deal with ranged light attacks not going off properly and the game acting wonky in most boss fights. Vateshran for example is fine for me until I get to the last boss, then the frame rate just DROPS and I play a slideshow. And don't even get me started on Frostvault last boss spinning like hes on cocaine during his fire phase

The funniest part of it all is when the crash happens I am back to desktop in literally 1 second, but if I close the game normally it takes 25 seconds (I counted) before I'm back to desktop and can do anything on my PC.

Oh, I just remembered I crashed once in overland by doing literally nothing. I was just standing in the wilderness in Vvardenfell, not even playing the game, but being on my phone and *BAM* back to desktop

I'm also getting randomly disconnected and sent back to the login screen while my internet connection is totally fine. (still talking to people on discord, streaming music running, etc. It's just the ESO connection)

Are they even going to acknowledge this issue? The game is not playable. Crashing/freezing on/off all night and has been like this every day since patch.

Happened to me several times during one trial (vet Hel Ra Citadel). I've not bothered doing trials thereafter.

Happened yesterday in vKA to me 2 times and 1 more member. I noticed it never happens in instances I'm alone (me soloing a dungeon) or in overland. When I join with some other people there is high chance for someone to crash.

A lot of the bugs as of late haven't really been acknowledged aside from one on Twitter, which who knows if they're actually looking into it. Even people using the alchemy station are crashing.

At first, I was angry about the constant crashing in just about every aspect of the game that I wanted to play. This led me to create a rule, every time the game crashes, I just quit playing it for the day. This may be just what I need to help me quit ESO & MMO's for good. It's like a nicotine patch for gamers. Just don't take a shot every time ESO crashes, that could be detrimental to your health.
