The ESO Market crash. I can't pay my guild dues this week. Guild fees too high.

I am only part of a single trade guilds and rely on the TTC mods to make my living with them completely broken I suspect me and many others wont be able to pay our guilds dues this week and only the biggest guilds in the biggest cities can rely on random sales from players who wants to run all over the continent looking for what you need when it probably not be there?

Now with the imminent collapse of the small trading guilds out there I think its time for Zenimax do do something about guild fees. I'm no economist in game or out so have no idea how it would be fixed but perhaps guild fees could be based on a percentage of value of in game goods? Right now I'm completely incapable of selling anything anymore as no one wants to pay more than a few hundred to max a few thousand for anything. Now to the veteran player of years and years who has lots to weather the storm to those like myself I'm out of luck and have no way to make money anymore except daily writs which are kind of slow I used to supplement this with trading but now no more I cant keep paying an insane guild fee if I'm not selling anything except for mere scraps of gold.

I'd imagine with the new gear collection feature you could make a lap around a zone like Deshaan and sell every gear piece you pick up for like 5K each. A quick 150K gold for 30 trader spots. I'm on console, but I am expecting players to be buying out lower cost gear from traders to complete their collections. Including some of the undesirable pieces, like staves, from sets like Spriggans.

I make minimum 100k a day doing writs and passively just playing.
You make 5k per alt writs, 5-7k doing a dungeon, I don't even farm
10k a week for guild dues is nothing.

For me the market is actually booming.

A bunch of overland sets that I used to deconstruct have been selling for 5k-10k a piece, even weapons with bad traits, because people want to collect them all.

Mat prices all seem to have gone up as well as people are reconstructing new sets for their characters.

Overall I think the market is in a great spot right now. I sold almost everything I got from farming the Pale Order ring. Half of those things would be total trash before the Sticker Book.

If you can no longer afford the min dues in your current guild and your not selling enough to make enough of a profit to be able to pay them with your current guild its time to look for another guild with either lower dues a better location or both.

People use TTC to buy specific stuff, for general things they need they tend to browse the most popular locations without looking at TTC that is why the popular locations are so sought after, because they usually have what they need after visiting the Alliance capitals and rawlka, vivec a few other locations its very rare that none of those have what the player is after giving them little reason to go any where else.

Is zone chat on fire on PC?
I imagine people are linking every set piece they find in zone.
I have been selling trash trait mothers sorrow head and shoulders on console the last week.

The well-run trading guilds don't charge dues, @Aptonoth.

Honestly if you aren't making money on PC that's on you. In the 2 months I swapped over I made 400k on a new account just selling mats. With all the add-ons available it pretty seamless. Also 30k per week is overkill. With tamriel trade center you can sell effectively at lower traffic areas. 5-10k is fine.

Do you have to make 30k a week in sales, or is that a fee payable, to the guild, every week?! If the latter, that is too much. Take a week or two off, build up some goods to sell, and shop around for a different guild. A lot of guilds will require a minimum in sales instead of a fee, these are the best kind of guilds as it is a more natural relationship. If you are selling both the player and the guild are happy, win win!!

I can't get tickets working with current patch its broken every mod I had and even updating them did nothing. I nuked my mod folder ill have to stop selling for a few months till the patch gets sorted and the works for me.

Not really zone chat.

Dungeon chats are a lot more intense, though. Instead of just saying the set you want, people are saying specific pieces. I think it is great. Just a few runs of a dungeon and you usually can complete a full set... Except weapons, of course.

I used to be on console so I know what it is like. I'd invest in weapons, though. People seem to be buying weapons and shield for all sets now and they are selling for a lot. I haven't nailed all the prices yet but I've seen some crazy stuff like a Defending Inferno Staff of Spriggan's going for 15k on zone chat.

If you want to prepare, save the pieces from the sought up overland sets. MS, Spriggans, Necro... People will buy them like crazy when the update hits console.

30k is kinda of crazy. You can get guilds in premium spots for half of that still.

Then your guild might possibly suck. Why do you have to sell so much? Besides needing it to pay the guild fees so you can farm more stuff to pay the guild fees to let you sell more stuff..... Sounds a little self-defeating repeating loop.

I sold some stuff, not even a full 30 slots, in my no fee, no sales requirement trading guild. Mundane runes, cornflower, one chromium grain, stuff like that. Ended up with enough gold to pay your guild fees for several weeks. But then I'm not looking to make a billion gold in a day on a high dues prime location kiosk.

1. Install Harvest Map and download public node data;
2. Get Coward's Gear and Fiord's Legacy and slap them on a stam toon;
3. Go to a zone of your choice;
4. Filter the wood, metal and cloth nodes;
5. Use Harvest Map to build a route with good node density (27-29);
6. Run the route for an hour;
7. Enjoy your 75-90k in raw mats.

Optional: install Farm Manager to track your loot and gold per minute.

Is that 30K in sales or a direct deposit for raffle tickets/donation?

If they are asking you for a 30K deposit each week its well and truly time to find another guild, your paying almost as much in mins for the 5 trade guilds I am in, you could easily afford to join a guild in a good spot for 10K a week in min dues, if your guild is charging 30K and their not even in a good enough spot to justify it then that guild is being poorly run.

If its a sales target and your not able to meet it easily each week, you should think about joining a guild with much lower or no dues.

That or take a break build up stock to sell and join a trade guild once or twice a month to sell your stuff, you got no obligation to work your ass off just to pay guild dues you can't afford.


This is not an economy issue this is a case of you not having enough stock to sell each week reliably yet, it takes time to be able to fill your slots in your guilds week after week, most who do are either re listing or have a reliable source of stuff to sell from daily writs on multiple characters.

30k is really high...I am in a couple different ones, one is free (where I just dump junk) the other charges 5k (which is nothing), both have traders, though one is obviously in a better spot.

You need to find another guild, if you are paying 30k it's a trader that wants to run off low sell rate players.

The guilds I'm in change nothing per week and still manage to secure good spots (though not always in capitals, things sell regardless). And the guilds that are always in capitals don't require 30k in fees either, they require maybe like 100-150k in sales, which is different than fees. Find one such guild, don't let some greedy guildmaster exploit you, because 30k in fees is exploitation (even disregarding the fact that 30k is, relatively speaking, a pittance).

But why would you even need a trading guild if you don't have things to sell? Just join a pve social guild. Some will have a trader, some don't. And quite a lot of them don't usually ask for guild fees. But again, if you've got nothing to sell, why are you in a trading guild?

Zenimax has nothing whatsoever to do with guild fees - that's solely down to each guild to decide how much they can charge their members and it is up to their members to decide whether those charges provide value for money. If the fees are too high based upon what revenue to obtain from sales or other income then it's probably time to either have a word with the guild leader and suggest they rethink the fees or find another guild that provides better value for money.
