Game stops accepting input for character

Just ran an RND with my tankblade. At the final boss fight of Spindle 1, with the boss at about 20%, the game stopped accepting any input for my character. I couldn't move, use any skills, attack...nada. I know it wasn't a keyboard and/or mouse issue, because I was able to type in the chat window, bring up menus, and scroll through the menus once I had them up. But my character was just stuck running in place. Wasn't able to loot the boss, though I did get credit when it died. Had to log out and log back in to fix.

This happened again yesterday with a different PC-NA account and a different character. Tanking last boss Spindle 1, and the game stopped accepting character input. In this case, however, right at the end of the fight my character got knocked back, and as soon as my character was moved I was able to control it again. So maybe that's a clue? There's a dead spot in the room?

I think I've got this figured out. Happened again to one of my tanks, twice in the same fight. And happened to another player as well. During the final Spindle 1 boss fight, if you dodge-roll backwards, your character freezes. The boss executes a knock-back attack which, if it hits your character and moves it, allows you to control your character again. If you aren't lucky enough to get knocked back, you have to leave the instance and then return.
