For those new to questing - Extra dialogue

So you're on your quest, you have to talk to a character NPC, you chat, explore all the options then it's on to the next objective. But here is something you may not know. Before you mount up and ride off to the next point of interest, speak to the NPC again, they may well have an extra line of dialogue, usually, it's just a different way of confirming what to do, but often it's an observation and sometimes it can be several lines of dialogue with questions you can ask. This is very common on almost all quests and may add approximately 10-20%% extra dialogue to the whole quest, significantly extending its duration. in addition, if you are being followed by your allied NPC, when you move from room to room, stop and chat, they will often have observations about what you've just seen.

I'm sure most long time players know the above but for those new to the game, I thought it may be of use, the actors voiced the lines, seems a shame not to listen to them.

Yup, moving from room to room, finding an objective (even if they just say "move on to the next one" outside the dialog window). I love the extra bits they provide if you take time to talk to them.

Also, I always talk to any present NPCs, not just the one with the quest marker, both before and after talking to the marked one. Sometimes they have interesting observations to add. Sometimes they don't.

I do this with questlines I'm invested in.

So far, being relatively new to ESO, I have come across notable quests such as the one with Naryu in Vvardenfell - I spoke to them heaps because that story was brilliantly told.

I've currently done this with the main quest of Bangkorai too particularly up to retaking the Garrison from the Imperials.

This games quests are truly mind blowing. It absolutely puts other games and their quests to shame, except perhaps the Witcher 3 but that's a solo game so the decisions you make must be more impactful.

I'm looking forward to many more quests with very very interesting storylines.

I always interact with them after the "Goodbye" line. Sometimes there is very interesting dialogue to be had.

I always do this in any game you can talk to NPCs. It's impressive just how much dialogue ESO has on any given quest. I often talk to any NPC on the quest I'm on before quest dialogue, after, and during the progress of the quest. You'd be surprised just how many unique lines there are! I just love it.

Elsweyr actually had a lot of this. In the main quest, if you just follow along, you don't get to pick up the quests from https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Lyrrsazhi (who gives them to you if you abandoned them and have to restart).
By not talking to Lyrrsazhi you miss out on how she feels about Tharn.
