Unable to Check to Allow Out of Date Addons

All of my addons are out of date in spite of me updating them all today. But more annoying is that I am unable to opt to allow the out of date addons.

I checked the box to allow out of date addons and hit to reload ui. The game came back up with the box UNchecked and all of the addons off. I tried unchecking every single addon and lib library after checking the box to allow out of date addons thinking I could turn them on one at a time. The game still reloaded with the box unchecked and every single addon unavailable. I tried turning them on from the character selection screen and briefly got some of them to load before the game had to reload and they were all forced off again.

I just cannot seem to get the game to allow me to use any addons at all!

I had the same problem when U28 went live (PC/EU). What helped me:
    - disabling addon Advanced Filters, if you have it
    - checking addons folder on your PC - it was set to "read only" for unknown reason, I unchecked it and addons started working (meaning checking "allow outdated addons" box stayed checked at all times), unchecking read only setting had to be done to base folder (Documents/Elder Scrolls Online) and Addons subfolder
    - removing addons that I wasn't using anymore (just felt like cleaning stuff ^_^)

Above changes also allowed me to fix my inventory bug that wasn't actually sorting anything (I blame Advanced Filters addon as the moment I disabled it, inventory started sorting items according to category properly).

    Hope it helps.

Well, as a workaround you could just go to Documents -> Elder Scrolls Online -> live and change
    #LoadOutOfDateAddOns 0

    to 1 in AddOnSettings.txt.

It's not Advanced Filters, it's the LibCommonInventoryFilters library (at least in my case it was breaking the inventory/bank/store UI). Even Advanced Filters changelog stated that you should delete it and use LibFilters-3.0 instead:
    Changelog

    Version 1.6.0.0

--Updated API version and depenencies. Please update LibFilters3 !

--Removed libCommonInventoryFilters! You should delete it if no other addon uses it anymore. AwesomeGuildStore will also strip it soon.

Thanks for the tips. I also found that I could get most of my add-ons to load by checking them during the character selection screen for a quick fix for people.

Hello! We have closed this thread as there is already an existing thread on this topic here: Allow out of date addons does not work as it should. Please feel free to continue the discussion over there.
