Lightning Heavy attack - missing a damage tick on single channel

Can Zos shed some light on this issue ;

It appears that a single lightning heavy attack chanel is only doing 2 damage ticks ( it should do 3 ticks per channel + 1 direct damage at the end ).
Subsequent channels are 3 ticks ( i.e. hold your mouse button down for 2 cycles you get 5 ticks )
