searching for all the recipes in the game question

Darkspecialist
so recently i made a decision that i will have one character i will try to do everything on..questing, guilds, crafting etc etc. I obtained some recipes over this halloween event and power leveled my provisions to 50. I was reading here few minutes ago that there are some recipes i will miss out on by being level 50 or having my provision at level 50. I am wondering if this is true?

if so whats the best way to get lower level recipes? other than guild traders..I am looking to loot or thief them.

or is this something i wouldnt have to worry about on that max crafter?

It depends on what your goals are for your max crafter, @Darkspecialist.

Lower level recipes are not needed (for the most part) on a CP150+ combat character ... as that’s what you’ll be running mostly for your max level combat. So, just the recipes that will best synergize with your build(s).

If your goal is to collect recipes from a completionist perspective, then be prepared for the long haul if you’re not interested in buying from the guild stores.

Recipe drops are based on your character’s first passive level ... so the options are limited for getting those low level recipes.

It is possible to “respec” your main crafter down to a desired first passive level. You won’t be able to make the highest level provisioning food/drink. You will, however, find those mid and low tier recipes when rummaging through barrels, furnishing containers, and other lootables.

As you might expect, some players have multiple characters each set on a different first passive level ... to maximize the drop possibilities. Provisioning isn’t that hard to level, @Darkspecialist, so this might be the best option for you.

Always be sure to be standing by lootable containers when you log out for the day.

On max crafting the non-master writs will always be the top level ones in green. As there are lots of people crafting at that level the recipes needed are pretty much given away by crafters to anyone who asks and that's all you actually need.

For each level of provisioning when you hit it you can go to the dragonguard sanctum and buy all the green recipes for that level if you've done enough dragonguard quests. As a completionist you'll want to do those anyway to get the complete set of new moon priest motifs!

(and yes has suggested you can respec down and back up to get them all that way)

It won't give you the other colours though and some of those are quite a lot of work to get or only available during events.

If you want to do everything then you are also going to need to do lots of daily quests in a lot of locations to get other motif sets and materials, as well as looting everything in all the dwemer ruins routinely.
Too many toons not enough time
