Question for PvPers

Over the years, when I make a new character, once I hit level 10 I run to Cyradil to do the tutorial and obtain the extra skill points. If the territory is controlled by my Faction, I will do town quests as well. Every single time, when I was done, I received at Least one box in the mail, which had a piece of gear and and RNG amount of trans stones. Sometimes I would get multiple boxes,, with 4 being the most any character obtained. For a long time I thought the number of boxes you got was tied to the amount of AP you received, with 10k being the first level.

Until yesterday. My new character, at level 25, went to do Cyradil for the first time. Got to experience first hand the Jabs cooldown - (unless it was just lag) - doing town quests. But when I was done, I had 12k AP - and got Zero ( 0 ) boxes.

Does anybody know how this system works? Do you get X box (es) at a certain number of AP accrued, or is it something else ?

It is 1 box for every 20k AP earned, but if I recall correctly baby alts get RftW boxes more often (less AP needed).

Are RftW handed out right away, or when the campaign ends, or ... ?

Rewards of the worthy boxes are for every 20k AP you earn in that character. no other conditions.

You get RftW when you hit that amount of AP, usually 20k. It should appear in mail right away, allowing for the normal delays in the mailing system.

Only the campaign rewards are delayed for days since that's based on who won the campaign. RftW are a smaller, incremental reward for your personal AP gain.

It does seem that if you go right at level 10 and do the tutorial, you get some early RftW boxes. (got transmute stones maxed from previous characters so I can't even open new boxes of them) .. This time I waited until level 25, and thats probably why I got none. (none of my characters has ever hit 20k AP )

Maybe that you only get more RftW boxes in a below lvl 50 campaign. Though I don't play in below lvl 50 often I'm pretty sure I've had baby alts who got RftW boxes for each 2-5k AP while only fighting other players and capturing objectives. Must be there then.

From my experience, it seems that character level affects how much AP you need to receive a RftW box. I happen to have 2 different characters that are level 4 but are both Tyros. They typically get the boxes for any log in reward that is 2k or higher. I got 3 RftW boxes for 2k AP on a level 1 character. It only takes 20k AP when your character is level 50, otherwise you earn boxes for less AP.

@barney2525 - don't you pick up the AP daily rewards on your accounts? I have got various boxes over time as I pick up enough AP on my mains.... I've got something like 100k plus on my PC NA accounts, just from AP from daily rewards, because that's the ONLY way I get AP.

What daily rewards? I'm not a PvPer per se. First time I did the tutorial ( after playing a couple years ) I realized I could pick up about 4 skill points just doing the tutorial. And I make new characters way too often, so my SOP is get to level 5, Crafting Skills (I use xp scroll), do first dolmen, do the delve next door to Vulkel Guard (I always play AD ), one local quest and that pretty much gets me to level 10.

At which point I pop to Cyradil

So I don't know what Dailies you are referring to.

Actually, the below level 50 is what I use. I pop in and check the Transitus shrine first. If we are losing badly I just leave and come back another day to do the tutorial.

The daily login rewards. Most months there's at least a day (sometimes more) when the reward is AP or TelVar. I ALWAYS make sure I log in every day, because while most of the stuff isn't all that useful - gold, AP and TelVar certainly are.

Eh, not that I wouldn't log in every day anyway.... on both accounts, both PC megaservers. Because of course this game is my current hobby, and I spend many many hours every day enjoying it to the fullest.

I usually go BGs once I hit lvl 10.
More engaging than riding simulator anyways

One trick with the rewards of the worthy, is if you get them on a low level character, open them with you level 50 character; they will be the level of the character who opens the box.

That's the reason why I have tyros that are level 4.
