Nightblade, Rapid Strikes (Morph Ability)

Is this ability worth it's action bar slot? I am seeing a lot of my damage coming from it alongside my normal weapon swings, the assassination execute ability I cannot remember the name of and the Stun ability from behind, again cannot remember the name of....

I'm getting through the story well enough with these abilities, with one siphoning ability and a stealth spam.

Im just concerned, I really like Rapid Strikes but I feel like someone is going to tell me I am gimping myself by not using a different one. I very much single target where possible, but in dungeons I know to bring out the AOE if needed..... I just like the idea that I can focus down a target and continue while the sorcerers and whatnot AOE everything.

Please tell me Rapid Strikes is not an ability I should forget? :P

Rapid Strikes is absolutely an ability you should forget. Maybe if 100% of players take it off their bar then ZOS will get around to rebalancing it because it's a pain to land on people, weaving takes a lot of getting used to, and the damage coefficient is pathetic. Plus the alternatives are miles ahead. I'm not even confident that they ever fixed the scaling issue that someone pointed out years ago where basically the dmg increases the tooltip described are not happening that way at all.

Rapid Strikes is an awesome skill, I find it much easier to weave skills that channel, once you get the timing it becomes really smooth.

Skinny Cheeks has some good builds and most of his Stam Toons use Rapid Strikes, as per below.
