Option to hide weapon enchant and poison effects in dye stations.

Does anyone else get annoyed at how their weapon enchantments and poisons obscure the dyes we apply to our weapons at the dye/outfit stations? Poisons can just be unequipped but not enchantments. It annoys the heck out of me and I'd love an option to hide the visual effects of poisons and enchantments while using dye/outfit stations for more accurate dying.

I'd also like an option to hide shoulders while we're on the subject of dye/outfit stations.

    Yes and yes!

I've actually gotten in the habit of just crafting a basic Lv. 1 weapon before outfit planning just to make sure it isn't getting in the way. It's annoying that some of those enchantment glows are always on so you can't tell how to dye the weapons properly.

And as for the Hide Shoulders option we need something! I'm actually very much in favor of a Hide Everything option. The pauldrons are the most annoying, but there are some styles that are hard to find good belts for as well. And our tattooed barbarians need more than Sai's Jack to show off their pecs.

I just wish the weird yellow bits were dyeable. But they work with your color scheme.

Also, I’m jelly that you can make a decent looking dude. All my attempts end up looking like big, derpy potato heads.

I absolutely agree. I'd also like to be able to use weapons in an outfit system but see the costume I have equipped if I so choose, so I can match that way. It's annoying to be trying to use a costume and fit your weapons with it, have to pay for something, then check it away from the table, and go back and try to adjust it again blindly.

I actually do really well with guys - as long as they aren't Nord. And I do enough better with Nord males than females that I have one on each account.... no fems because they just never look right.

This one's Breton, on my PC EU main account. I don't know if I remembered to screenie him; if I did I could post the sliders.

Those I use Dead-Water on, I make sure the yellow bits go with whatever; it's SO annoying that they make areas that aren't dyeable!

With many of the recent styles having undyeable (sp?) elements, i've gotten so used to it and just playing around those in my color schemes. Imagine my surprise (and delight) when I tried on Celestial staff - and the gems in it could be dyed any color I wanted!

I wish zos would just stop with all those predetermined color elements and let us have more creative freedom in our outfits.

Re OP's request, I agree. The enchants are annoying, especially the one that looks like mud dripping off your weapon.

Good idea about crafting a level 1 weapon just for the outfit creation process, I'll start doing that too, at least until zos listen and give us the option to toggle effects off.

Needs to be standardised lighting while in all Outfit Stations then. Depending on location/lighting/time of day, results vary.

Custom weapon effects would be a nice addition to the outfit system for sure.
And tbh it probably wouldn't even require massive dev effort and i'm pretty sure they would sell like cupcakes.

More than 3 channels would be nice too. Especially as more often than not on many weapons, you can only dye 2 of them.

In the Interim, make a CP150 Weapon and equip that to plan your outfits.

Then swap out the weapon to apply the changes. You can even remove the sword from the initial application of dyes and styles, apply the rest, then go back in after swapping the weapon and use the Rubber Stamp tool to apply the dyes.
