Why did you lock HollowJack Motifs Behind Ticket Bags! This Motif is vital to the main Title achievement and now I am being forced to choose between that or my Indrik Collection or spend 100s of thousands of gold to buy them due to it's Now Rarity for a Motif people used to throw away by the handful! I'm not going to spend money on Tickets. Bad ZOS!

The answer is to funnel you to the crown store and purchase tickets for real money. This appears to be the only way to get the motifs and indrik.

Btw, I agree. It's a nice solution for account-wide collectibles like mementos or outfit styles, not for something achievement-related. Wait, there was an achievement for consuming memento fragments, no?

Bare Bones Puppet | Consume 10 Skeletal Marionette Parts, found in all varieties of Plunder Skulls.

And the article says

the Skeletal Marionette memento

not parts.

Does that mean that this achievement cannot be earned anymore?

I get why they did this, and I don't think it was anything nefarious, as they add content, the sheer volume of garbage we have to wade through increases. Culling old as adding new is important or the loot table will end up so large that the new stuff will be near impossible to acquire.

Saying that, they have demonstrated they have the know how to have a 'smart loot' system with the ticket bags, that will not drop what you already have. That should have simply been applied to the plunder skulls, if last systems gear was on this smart loot system, that would mean if you already have Hollowjack on a character, Hollowjack will not drop (or very low chance). If you want Hollowjack on an alt, you need to go collect skulls with that characters to get it. That would have been a better solution than simply relegating it to a crown bag.

Saying that, account wide achievements, at least for grind things and things such as this, and yes that would mean Hollowjack becomes more of a 'Style' than a Motif, still craftable but it would be one of the first account wide motifs. Which I am fine with. Achievements that should be account wide:

1) Grind related achievements (Ie, 'do 30 daily quests for Bob', should be 'do 100 daily quests for Bob' but accrued account wide)
2) No Death / Speed run achievements, but bring back skins/personalities to require a trifecta.
3) Anything that may end up locked away in the future, such as this Hollowjack example.

I'm going to disagree here:
1) I have no intention of farming such achievements on any character other than my main, that means for me it's just 30 dailies -> 100 dailies. Monster trophies and fishing on the other hand - yes, please.
2) If I can get achievement with one role/class, doesn't mean I can do it with another.

I have been running from trader to trader all over the server, looking specifically for Hollowjack motif pages. I have had exactly ONE show up so far, and it was listed for over 150K gold. People are jacking up (no pun) the prices.

The fact that this motif in particular is tied not only to the achievement for learning the motif, but ALSO to the meta-achievement that grants a title AND to the ability to purchase the Coven Cottage for gold instead of Crowns makes the decision to remove it from the event drop tables (while leaving the Dremora motif in them...) rather problematic and suspect, to say the least.

I have about 30 page of that motif just collecting dust. Looks being a forgetful hoarder just might pay well.

On ps4 EU when looked earlier today prices were still low - s/o in trade guild was listing them around 5k each!

So do I. Cha-ching! I am very happy for myself but I can be honest and admit this windfall is unearned. I hope they change things in the future and make the grab bag available for coin at the event assistant instead

It's nice that some players are willing to sell the pages at reasonable prices.

But if I've learned anything about traders in this game, it's that players who have gold are going to look for and scarf up all of the bargain-priced items, then turn around and post them for sale at much, much higher prices.

It does not drop from plunder skulls. Announcement is wrong.

I ve opened exactly 120 plunder skulls and it never dropped (i know its 120 because i do farm runs of 20 every time). Same goes for any other player I ve talked too.

Announcement says: Style item - a stone to craft Hollowjack. Not the style itself.

Yeah, I thought about doing that with the few pages I had squirreled away somewhere but flippers have deterred me from that. I guess I’ll just see if my guildies need any, and if not, sell them at market price.

They should really change course on this SOON because Hollowjack was always available in a form that could be traded.

It doesn't affect me that much because I already have the entire motif on my main, but what about someone who just started playing ESO this year?
