Stuck at 22K on 3M target dummy (magblade)

I am following the popular guides. I use Swallow Soul instead of Elemental weapon as I find it extremely clunky. I also don't use weapon enchants on jewelry, since I have don't sustain well with those. Still this should not be costing me 15K-25K dps? I mean my DPS is garbage with no mana. Should I not be casting my AOE dots on single targets? Is that making me run out of mana quicker?

My gear is War-Maiden and Mother's Sorrow with gold weapons. While I know I can't get in the 70-90K range I thought I could at least do 35k-45k.

I do fine with weaving. Merciless Arrow usually fills up within 5-8 rounds(I'm not perfect sometimes I miss).

Appreciate any guidance.

Name the skills on your front/ back bar and what rotation you follow, it will help further identify any thing that might go wrong.
Parse with Max Mag and Mag Recovery Food too.

You should really parse on trial dummy, all the buffs and debuffs it gives makes big difference. Noone parses 70-90k range on 3M dummy

With your dps you would hit 40-50k on trial dummy

Use 3m dummy if you aim mostly for vet dungeons or normal trials. Hell you won't get that much buffs in dungeons, so trial dummy is nothing but self-deception in this case.

Use trial dummy if you aim for vet trials.

Are you low CP? NBs have great sustain because of Siphoning Strikes, are you recasting this when it runs out? Are you using elemental drain (for 3 mil dummy)?

What do you mean by rounds? Is that skills cast? Times through your rotation?

Are you using another set (monster set)? Or just 2 5 pc sets?

I was wondering about that as I keep seeing folks recommend using it over a vet dungeon dummy. I don't ever plan on doing vet trials so is it a waste of time/funds practicing on one? I'm simply trying to solo as much as I can, no teammates for added buffs.

If you do not plan on doing trials it would be a waste unless you just like hitting dummies to see big numbers that you would likely never see hitting the actual dungeon target.

Many guilds have a guild hall that also have the Iron atronach (buffing trial dummy) that you could use if your guild has one.

The popular guides are...guides. 99% of the online guides are made for running leaderboard trials and work very well for all types of content however to get the maximum benefit (and the numbers you see in the vids) they require almost every available damage buff in the game.

22K on a 3 mill dummy is not bad and like Saubon said you will hit a lot more than 22K on the Iron atro.

to begin, the 70k+ parses are all on the 21m mil dummy. That one has all the raid buffs so you're attacks will. Next you want to make sure all your skills are at max level because they go down in skill cost, giving you getter sustain. Dropping a weapon /spell damage enchant on the raid dummy is probably at least 2k dps loss. Make sure you get all the important passives too. Mage guild, undaunted, class, weapons. basically everything that gives you more modifiers.

If you are playing a mageblade and following a static rotation, you have already lost. They have the highest DPS ceiling but fall the fastest when your "rotation" is not perfect. They are absolutely the most difficult rotation in the game. They are also the worst class to play if you want a static rotation. They need to be played dynamically. There is no order, simply priority.

I would also advise not to parse on a 3 mil. Trial dummies are there for a reason.

A few things to look at for mageblade, but you need a parse recap.

First, are your light attacks/second north of .9? If not, honestly, consider another class. You will do more DPS.

Second, what is the average time between spectral bow procs (fight time/bow procs). If it's more than about 6 seconds, you are either not managing the skill very well, your LA weave needs work, or both.

Dont get me wrong. Playing mageblade is like lifting weights. It is the best class to practice with, because every other rotation will feel trivial in comparison. That said, 99% of the playerbase will pull higher numbers on other classes.

Sorry to ask, but is the 22k on 3 mil dummy true for most classes. I'm stuck around there as well. I don't have a better dummy to test on.
