I'm primarily a console player who got a new oled tv for the next gen consoles coming out this fall. I read that your game was going to offer a next gen upgrade, so I installed it during the free weekend to see if I would have fun. I did have fun, but I was concerned about the console UI (in this case on xbox one), and it is ultimately keeping me from playing your game long-term.
As an oled tv user I am worried about burn in. Thankfully, many games which I play, like Forza Horizon or Red Dead, allow me to turn off all ui elements or at the very least, make them "dynamic" in the sense they only show when important enough to show.
Your game largely allows me to do that, except for 2 items as far as I can tell. Those are the targeting reticule and the compass. Obviously, those are quite important at some times, but other times (like casually doing overland quests etc.) they are not as important. If I am just casually enjoying the fantasy overworld, I don't really want to worry about burn in on the compass or reticule even if it makes some aspects of the game more challenging. I would love an option to completely turn off the compass and the targeting reticule, and if possible maybe an additional option for dynamic targeting reticule when entering combat (but I would prefer the option to completely turn it off before the dynamic one). I plan on using my new tv for many years (not just replace it in 3) so I admit I feel uncomfortable playing games with really static UIs (yes I am aware some tvs like lg have anti burn-in measures).
Anyway, if these 2 ui updates for console play are possible it would most likely mean I stick around.
Thank you.
