ESO Storytime Dungeons

Hey guys!

I've noticed some folks out there wanting to see the cool stories in ESO's dungeons, but struggling with PUGs, speedrunners, etc.
I know it's not a perfect solution, but I thought I'd start a series of vids, running through the dungeon stories! I don't skip the text and make sure to page through every book I find so you can read them at you own speed

These aren't in any particular order and more are coming soon!
Please also note these may not be the most graceful runs I also attempted to run them first person at first ... but kept getting swatted so swapped back to 3rd person!

Well these are nice to see, I've forgotten the story lines for some since it's been so long. 3rd person would be so much nicer...that first person view is almost sickening to watch .

Thanks for the feedback! Will def move to third person, it's also really hard to not see all the red I tend to end up standing in 😅

Appreciate it, although I wouldn't blame the speed runners. Often I find myself getting left behind, because I want to listen to the quest dialogue, and absorb the story. I do get frustrated when other people speed through it before I get a chance to do that.

I also realize it's a fundamental design flaw on the part of the devs towards one of their foundational systems, which is quite sad when you think about it. Whenever players are frustrated by the actions of other players, caused entirely by a game system, you really should ask what the developers could have done to have avoided this through design.

Many games have group dungeons, and many have different solutions. Most have cinematic moments that slow or stop the action, either through cutscenes, or in-game scenes, in which to deliver the necessary story context. This game sometimes does that, but the developers also place the traditional quest giver dialogue that you would find in the solo parts of the game in these dungeons as well, and this dialogue has to be listened to absorb the context of the dungeon, and it requires all participants to respect the amount of time that takes, while giving each player complete power to control or stop it for other players. Thank you so much for this! I had been looking everywhere on the internet for this but couldn't find it.

I've cleared most dungeons as a healplar and it was extremely stressful to have people die as they rush ahead while I'm trying to read the story. As a result I had to mash through the story in favour of healing my party.

I'll take my time to watch all these videos

Very good work...always wanted to rly merge deeper in story of each dung..but most of them have always skipped most dialogs...many thanks..cookie from me:-)

I considered doing something like this myself but really really didn't want to, I even streamed Fungal Grotto 1 on Vet (the vet part was accident) just so I could make a story video for it at later date. The reason I say this is because I searched for so long for a video page like this, because I wanted to be able to actually enjoy the stories of these dungeons so badly. I am so very glad you have decided to do this, I am definitely bookmarking this page and will be checking out more of your content. Rock on!

Putting a playthrough on Youtube spotlighting the story is a great idea and a boon for many who don't play the game but is interested nonetheless. I do that a LOT, watch "gamemovies" of titles I don't own. +1 Awesome for being awesome.

I wouldn't put you guys through that I also don't do any editing (even in the sometimes really lame deaths ) as some of the mob and boss trash talking is sometimes quite good!

Awesome! I wish the game had a story mode where we could avoid the rushers.

thank you so much! i either missed or forgot many of these.
if you need any help with future dungs, i'd love to come and help. i've added you in-game.

also, i thought about this doing myself, before;
with one twist- UI completely off.

but i already did most of these on my chars (and forgot them) & i'd need to make a new char.
maybe i should...

Awesome! Thanks! I'll confirm the add when I'm on again over the weekend! Could Def use some extra muscle with the DLCs when we get to them and always glad for new ESO friends

Haha I made the magDK for these as never tried one before so he's also learning and skilling up on the job
