Is Multiboxing but without any software or hardware allowed?

for example if i want to log into my second account without logging out of my original account to quickly send over something, or do dailies, or something of this sort, am i allowed to open the launcher again and log into my second account while still having my main character open?

I heard multiboxing is not in any shape or form allowed. which would mean this is technically against ToS?

as long as you are controlling the inputs individually on each account/screen/instance of the game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It has been stated somewhere by either Gina or Jess in a previous thread.

If 1 input corresponds to 1 action in the game, you're fine.

If 1 input corresponds to multiple actions in the game (either on the same account, or multiple accounts), then it's against the ToS

Part of the problem is “multiboxing” is not always consistently defined. But Jessica explained valid ways to run two accounts simultaneously on page 1 there.
