started leveling my stamsorc and probably not going to be doing much on my NB tank because tanking, at least for me on my NB looking like a nightmare next patch, am losing way too much from debuffs and it will just be hard to survive. the change to grim focus was already a noticeable hit in trials especially. but like I don't think I wanna go through the headache and work to min max every half second of my actions tanking to survive at that point.

Nah. But I don't get to play my tanks nearly as much as I'd like. I have two different tanks, but I main a healer and it seems that no one else in my group is really likes to play healer, so when we get together to do content, I'm usually playing healer rather than tank. When I do get to tank, its usually on less difficult content where we can get away with not having a dedicated healer, so I really don't get to play the most challenging content as a tank anyways. So I don't imagine I'll be phasing out my tanks anytime soon. Even if there are heavy handed nerfs to tanking bonuses, I won't get to use mine in any content where those bonuses are really needed.

I haven't tried NB tank yet, but it looks like Markarth (while a big change for everyone) is adding some useful things to a NB tank.

You'll be getting the improved breaching Pierce Armor debuff, and Shadow Barrier that gives Major Resolve is also being buffed because Major Resolve is stronger now.

Your Stam sustain will be down because of the change to Executioner, but you'll actually get more total resources than before, since instead of 1876 Stam when an enemy dies, you'll get 1000 Stam and 1000 Magicka both at once.

    No
The changes are really very minor for pve, I doubt I will even be phased or really change anything.
Well beyond the talk of dropping alkosh in mag groups but well, I will see what happens with that.

I would suggest OP edit the title as they are not talking about tanking in general but tanking on the NB specifically.

I actually like NB next patch, the loss of 3% from minor protection that all classes get (frontbar psijic ultimate) is offset by ez uptime of minor resolve that is getting buffed. PS I run a bit on my nb last time someone complained about NB tanks not being as good anymore and I was doing just fine. The only class that does need something as a tank is Templar. And that something is probably just wearing master's s/b. If you have issues with NB tanking I got only 1 thing to tell you. Use more shields, use more heavy attacks to sustain them. Class dismissed.

Nope my tank will be the strongest this patch offers I'm actually a little excited but mostly worried. Just have to wait and see. I tank in every class only tried NB tank once but pretty much tanked a zerg with it for over an hour at drake made a ton of AP defending that one, was fun. I prefer warden tanking but necro next patch strongest class for well anything lol.
