Class / Race combo that can do the most without respec

Hello friends!

I was just wondering what class / race has the best ability to do the most activities in the game without having to respec? I am on mag sorc and if i want to do pve, i need a specific set of morphs / CP to even be viable while in PVP i need a completely different loadout. I am not wealthy enough to respec twice a day. Do i have to keep separate toons per activity? Like 1 toon for healing pve 1 toon for healing pvp 1 toon for dps pve and so on?

Please help. Thanks in advance!

My magDK Breton can perform tanking, DPS, and Healer roles at veteran difficulty without the need for a respec or even an attribute change. Just a few gear changes and when going from healing or DPS to tanking a quick mundus stone change.

Yeah thats kind of what I am looking for. Being a mag sorc i wonder if I can do the same. I feel like Sorc is the worst support for groups. Sure I can get the gear and minds, but all I am relying on is my bird and healing staff

I haven't put much time in PvP sorcerer but I don't see a need for significant morph changes necessarily.

Different skill usage and gear for sure, and you may want to shift around CP, but that's easier to handle especially on PC with addons that can help you manage those situations.

I'm curious what abilities you feel you have to morph between PvE vs. PvP? Could you get similar effects by learning and using a different skill from somewhere else?

If your playstyle is radically different between PvE and PvP -- like if you prefer ranged in PvE but melee roll-dodge machine for PvP, you may want separate characters yeah.

Unlike the stamina builds mag builds can do the healer role rather well. This helps them be able to do all 3 roles but then there is the fact that stamina builds can do the tanking role far better. While I might be running a magicka tank I still have a sword and board on my primary bar with puncture slotted because its just such a good ability! I solve the stamina issue with block cost reduction enchantments on my jewelry, and I have a frost staff on the back bar with a crusher enchantment for additional group support.

Thanks for the help guys! For skills i was mostly talking about flappy and the destro staff morph. I think there might be a few others but can't remember.

I think that i can make due with some other skills but i just think that DK has igneous shield and molten weapons to help their team, necro, warden and templar seem to also have some very nice skills. Sorc doesn't seem as built to be a support / healer in pvp that can shine as well as the others :\

Just choose a class that has clear stam and mag morphs. Take Sorc for example, overall a lot of the skills are fine but the one skill that needs to be swapped between PvE and PvP is curse. Necro on the other hand typically has one morph for mag and another morph for stam. The few mag to mag morphs are often a choice between healing and DPS as well.

Stamina is also more versatile in this regard because most stamina use back bar bow, but the only real skill they want on the bow isn't really ideal for PvP so no need to change it. Most stam still use dual wield for PvE for overall DPS whereas in PvP, most prefer 2h because of how powerful the rally skill is and how strong 2h burst can be.

For race Dark elf as it is great for stam and mag dps and can be good for tanks. For class dk or sorc (sorc is better but thats my personal opinion)

I assume by "respec" we mean CP as skills are not a big deal. In fact, I would suggest the choice of race is not a major issue either. It really all comes down to a player's skill.

Heck. I heal dungeons, and even some trials, on my DPS without changing my CP. which is far from a big deal as long as it is a Magicka character.

I have tanked on both Stamina and Magicka DPS without changing my CP (or attributes). I changed only gear and skills slotted. That was also a tanking with S&B, not a staff. Going from dps or healing to tanking without changing CP really comes down to player skill. The biggest issue will be sustained, especially with blocking.

I have 6 chars, magsorc, dk tank, stamnb, templar healer, stamden, magnecro. I PvE and PvP with all of them just by changing skills and gear without paying anything. I also play no cp pvp so i don't change CP either.

Was gonna say breton because of magika and heals, slot inner fire and heavy armour and tanking is easy for normal dungeons, especially as DK.
