Originally you could force drops through the, "fuel bar." This was mini-storefront, where you'd get an Ouroboros bundled in with whatever else you bought. In theory these were supposed to also give a share to the streamer, but Amazon was terrible at actually paying out. I think I may have picked up one crate that way? I'm not 100% sure.

But, no, you get the Ouroboros crates from watching streams.

@Rezdayn: Worth noting: That video is not accurate to the Oroborous crates. Those work a little differently. The four normal cards will always flip at white rarity (this wasn't always the case as you can see in the first screenshot), while the fifth card flips to either green rarity OR Radiant (with the two Scarlet Regret drops.) (The only card rarities in Oroborous Crates are White, Green, and Radiant.)

These are promotional crates, and the only items of value in them are the two radiant drops. This is significantly different from normal crates where there's a whole swath of items, and you will always obtain at least one meaningful drop (even if it's immediately gemmed due to duplication.

(It's even possible for a card to be immediately gemmed because it appears twice in the same crate.) For example, this:



In general, the Oroborous Crates are very low value, but they're also free. It's just annoying because I've gotten that pet 5 times without getting the mount. (The drop rate is evenly split between the two.)

That's 1 free apex mount in gems right there, which is probably more than many have gotten from these free crates.

I don't think that drops in the free crates people get from watching videos with linked accounts. Of course I could be wrong. I don't watch streams and don't have an account with any of those services.

I kind of doubt it does. I got my sweetroll from the 4 paid nightfall crates I bought about a month ago. I tend to think they're not putting anything really great in free crates any more.... I got SO MUCH good stuff from the free crates a year or more back.

Serious. People like me with wonderful RNG are why NO ONE gets great free crates any more....

Yeah, back then we got actual crates from the daily logins. I'm not surprised they were removed, but I do miss them.

Other than being rare, this mount is pretty ordinary anyway. It doesn't have a summoning animation, special effects when pressing spacebar, or an aura like other apex mounts worth 132 gems.

Avoiding the disappointment is easy, just do not seek or open any advertising crates. The purpose of that stuff is to get fake views and perhaps nudge people to buy the gambling ones.

Edit: I kiiiiiiind of think there should be a super bomb “choose what mount / furnishing / pet / etc. you want” code given away each major stream, right? Umm... it’s just pixels hyping up the game, and it feels clumsy to have “forgotten” to even open a giveaway during certain streams.

Yeah, it's a recolor of the Psijic glow mounts, which were given out as daily rewards, though I don't remember if the Senche was ever released.

They released it, the Sagacious Psijic Senche a few months ago, but it depends on if you like the full body armor of the blue psijic variants. At least the red markings on this mount is fully on display without obstructive body armor.

Nah, these are the from the free crates you get from watching Twitch. Aside from not having any Radiant Apex, I've had pretty decent luck getting what I was after out of the paid crates.
