Is the ESO app going to be updated?

Apologies for asking about this on a ZOS forum, but if you play the game on console, this app is a godsend to help keep track of things.
It hasn’t been updated since Dragonguard, and was wondering if anyone knew what was going on with it? Have tried to email devs but no reply.

It would be a shame if it isn’t being supported anymore, as would then have to go back to teaching for maps etc in different places, and track character progress - such as skyshards or treasures - manually ☹️😞

Judging by how long Greymoor now is out and there still is no update for the app and not a single Twitter update since then, I am afraid the once great app will not get any updates anymore.

On March 10, 2021 finally V3.0.0 was released including Greymoor and Markath, as the developer announced:

IMHO, this is now THE BEST ESO APP again, especially for playing on console where addons cannot be used.

I've found this app to be very helpful, so I'm glad to hear that it's been updated! I'd been wondering why it hadn't been updated in a while, and wasn't aware of the problems the developer had had. It's good that they were able to reconstruct(?) all the work they had lost.

There is no official ESO companion app.

If you sent an email to the developer of the app and got no response then it is likely not being worked on anymore.

Kinda i always thought its a bit off that there is no official app for eso.

If you're talking about ESO Helper, that gets updated after each release. I switched to that one from The UESO app, which I think I read not long ago that was getting rebuilt as they suffered a data loss at some point.

There is an app called The ESO App, I think that’s what the OP is asking about. I have it on my iPhone and it has indeed not been updated for the new chapter. Real bummer too, it made keeping track of different characters lore books, skyshards, etc, manageable on the console.
An official app for that sort of thing would be really swell *hint hint*



Edit: just saw the tweet and that is the app’s logo, so we are talking about the same app.
