Im trying for the love of god to get used to using that skill instead of executioner on my new main, NB. I find is CRAZY difficult to land. First of all the animaion seems extremly clunky, it says its an instant cast but it feels delayed and its difficult to see if it even hits the target or not.

Any tips? w

Most of the time I use the bow proc when the enemy I’m fighting is stunned or low health so that it can finish them off. Try timing it after you hit an Incap because it will do more damage then.

It may say it's an instant but it certainly does not hit target instantly like e.g. Poison Injection does. Looks like it has "travel time" or sth.

Make sure to use it when your target is in a range it cannot escape the attack or is at low health. And ofc, never use it after the target has roll-dodged.

It's very strong and can literally execute your enemy when it lands but it's not very reliable.

Since I start using the addon 'Grim Focus Counter' I find managing it a lot easier and see a definite increase in damage as a result.

thanks for the tip. this skill feels super off. I will try to force myself to do it if its worth it. Can you recommend a good combo?

If you're weaving correctly, it should proc often, but as Vlad9425 said, try use it after incap for extra burst damage.

Relentless focus (or Assassin's Scourge as the arrow is called) indeed has a travel time. It may shoot instantly but it acts as a projectile, meaning it has some travel time before dealing damage. I believe this was changed a few patches ago because Assassin's Scourge was considered too hard to counter (not sure if that was the reason, so correct me if wrong).

I LA weave with bow until it's procced then use Soul Shred to stun before unleashing the AS. If you can land an Incap that stuns you'll get more damage out of the combo but I find that Soul Shred is much more reliable to actually hit and stun someone.
If I can work an opponent down to less than 60% health before the combo it's almost a guaranteed kill. And even those that survive can usually be finished with a couple of quick bow LA's.

    Slot something else?
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

Weave accordingly > fire the proc when it’s ready. If you have an incap available, hold the bow. Use your ultimate > fire the proc. When you hit execute range do not fire it off, as the 10% crit damage from the bow your holding applies all round and buffs your execute. It isn’t an execute itself (unless you’re using it in a combo in PvP which is fine to use to finish someone) but in PvE - hold it in execute. And hold it before any ultimate as the 10% will carry over.
