3M Target dummy dps low

Hello all,
I’m practicing my dps and rotation on the 3m target dummy, on my magsorc.
I can’t get past 20k dps with selfbuff/ food etc.
I’m playing on Xbox and have a bit of “lag” issue so weaving is not always easy, but let’s say 50% is ok, how much dps loss do I then have compared to good weaving?
I use 2 pets with necropotence and ms, all gold.
I see many post with ppl hitting 30-40k on 3m dummy, is that also on console? Seems Impossible for me

Hitting 40k and even upwards of 50k on the 3 mil dummy on console is entirely achievable, and it comes down to proper cp placement, proper weaving, and a good rotation more than anything else. Gear is secondary to all of that. I myself am at 47k on the 3 mil with my sorc with off meta gear, no bloodthirsty, no minor force, no psijic, no mages guild, and a twilight matriarch over tormentor, on xbox console (I was testing out builds that would be practical for me as well as fun). It comes down to dedication to learning your class, and patience.

Light attakcs and weaving is a huge portion of your dps, so yeah, the dps loss of a 0,5 LA/s score is significant compared to, say, 0,95 LA/s. Lag certainly doesn't help, but I would assume that you are going too fast with your spammable. It takes a while to get used to the 1s rhythm.
Since you are playing on XBox and don't have access to add ons, try using a metronome on your phone and set it to a 1s click. Then start with sequences of just 10 or 20 LA/spammable and repeat until you got the hang of it.

Thanks for the help I’m gonna try that 1s click, seems like I hit to fast yeah.
I’m currently on 550cp, I assume I need 810ish to hit much higher then 30K dps?

Not really, 550 is fine. But more information would be helpfull, like skills and CP allocation, but most importantly your rotation overall.

Also, Necropotence is not that good on pet sorcs anymore. I'd recommend to swap it for False God, is possible.

Unlike the 21mil dummy, 3mil one doesn't give any buffs and its basically a dungeon boss with 18k resistances. So you wanna have as much pen as you can close to 18k. Are you using ele drain? Also you wanna use lover mundus instead of shadow on 3mil. And for parsing it's better to use siroria + ms + zaan.

I know I’m not providing much, because I’m sure it’s a player issue and not so much about gear tho, I wouldn’t had imagined that weaving was such a big gain in term of dps.
I’m working on getting new moon set (I’m a Breton) so I hope my sustain is still fine, that combined with MS I hope would be good.

I’m not chasing big phrasing numbers, and generally play solo (try to get though vma faster and faster? Therefor my skill setup is my solo setup.

But with Alcast endgame skill setup, with channeled acc, ele weapon and so, I’m just not satisfied with my 20k dps, compared to my 17k with solo setup

Use maw of infernal instead of zaan. Maw is even stronger on a magSorc than on other classes.

With Mother's Sorrow - False God's Devotion- Maw of the Infernal and 2 pets, I hit almost 40k in 3M dummy with my breton magsorc. And I am not even that good at dps, my max dps in trial dummy is 69k.

It's only a matter of rotation but mostly weaving LA between skills. Use spell potions (spell power + critical must have high uptime) and also Gasthly Eye Bowl. Also use Elemental Drain, helps a lot both for penetration and sustain.

What is your skill setup?

If your light attack weaving is bad, don't use elemental weapon as the spammable. Use force pulse.

For the sets, use maw of infernal + julianos on body (since you don't have trial sets) + mother's sorrow front barred.

Try using the following skills,


This is the blue CP I found to be the best (but it's for max CP),


I'm guessing you only have 183CP for blue CP, so try the following,
Elemental Expert - 49
Elfborn - 56
Spell Erosion - 10
Master-at-Arms - 61
Staff Expert - 7

I guess you also need to improve your rotation, DoT uptimes etc, but I've no idea how one can track them on console.
