Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery contests open to PC/EU and PC/NA 🏔️

I am happy with the home everyone earned with the Lost Treasures of Skyrim event, and I will be hosting two housing contests this month to celebrate! These are open to all on PC/EU and PC/NA! Tours of these will be streamed at twitch.tv/jhartellis at the given times.

SPECIAL NOTE: You may enter one or the other contest, but not both.

Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery Interiors
Saturday, October 24, 1pm ET

Decorate the interior portion of the home however you wish.

You can work with the original textures or change things up

Prizes: Top 3 creative entries and top 3 beautiful entries will each get 250,000g on PC/EU or PC/NA

Antiquarian's Alpine Gallery Courtyards
Tuesday, October 27, 1pm ET

Decorate the exterior courtyard of the home. Anything around the sides, or up the waterfalls, or wherever, just not the inside.

You can use the whole space, or just a portion, or even make a custom structure--anything goes

Prizes: Top 3 creative entries and top 3 beautiful entries will each get 250,000g on PC/EU or PC/NA.


HOW TO ENTER:

Two ways to enter:

1) Send an in-game mail to @JHartEllis. Include which contest you are entering (e.g. "Courtyards"). You may include a BRIEF description if necessary to explain your build.

2) OR, reply to this thread along with the server you are on (EU or NA) and include the contest type and which home it is in, and you may include a longer description and screenshots.

Make sure JHartEllis has Visitor access for the tours. It is not necessary to set the submission as your primary, and you do not need to be present during the streamed tour. Get your entries submitted at least 2 hours before the tours. Enter early (earlier the better). If you have EHT FX, publish them to the community or mail them in-game to JHartEllis

If this is your first month participating, I recommend checking out contest recaps from prior months at spicyeconomics.com

PRIZES:

There will be big winners for each contest (see above for details on each), and winners can be on PC/EU or PC/NA. Prize winners will be determined based on creativity, beauty, fun factor, and screenshotability. All other entrants will receive small participation prizes.

We'll have several prizes for Twitch chat participants during the streamed tours, including many ESO Stream Team game codes for pets, Crowns, and more. Tune in for the tours, get some decoration inspiration, and enter for prizes!

Simple basic question: Will contest #2 also include the exterior of the house itself or just the courtyard?

Shame this isn't on Xbox. I used structure pieces and boulders to make a walkway and house that looks like it might have been there by default. Its not decorated yet but I'm thinking of turning it into a bar.

Correct, that would be part of the courtyard for this. The two contests are separated by anything inside the doors vs anything outside the doors.

Absolutely love this house, and I must have spend about 1m gold and all of my crowns furnishing it. Not gonna enter the contest though since I got 90% of my ideas from someone else's YouTube video

Doesn't have to be everything. Might even be better to only focus on a part for a good screenshot.

So if we choose to participate in the second contest, we could make our entry just the outside porch or just around the waterfall for instance? Just want to make sure I understand correctly before I start thinking up ideas!

And I agree, I do like the Antiquarian’s Gallery! It’s different from any other house I’ve seen in the game and very spacious! Plus a lovely outdoor area too!

Ahh okay thanks - there's some parts of my exterior you'd miss out on without daylight but overall it will be subpar if not seen at night (assuming it's not just subpar in general lol).

Hi JHartEllis,

I'd love for you to come check out my Courtyard area on the NA server (I have the same username in game). I wanted to go for a working farmstead look, so there is a small vegetable garden, animal pens, merchant stalls, crafting areas and so on, but the part I enjoyed creating most was the sauna around the back of the main house. The toilet and basin are functional (you can interact with them to turn the water on and off) and there is a massage table and bath along with the sauna area proper.

While not part of the courtyard contest, if you get a change to stick your head through the front door, you can check out my giant hourglass terrarium

My background story that I didn't think to include for my entry was that as my main character is a sorcerer who also collected antiquities I collected so many Void-Crystal Anomaly's that Daedric magic broke through from Coldharbour in to the realm of Nirn creating a massive anomaly (hence the custom name I gave it - Sorcerer's Anomaly) infecting my clockwork sphere & drawing various elements of the different zones of Nirn to their related antiquities on display & intermingling throughout such as the Vvardenfell anemone sprouts & tribunal altar to the St Nerevar, Moon-And-Star antiquity at the front left of the building.
