What NPC do you like?

Like, I feel that for most NPCs, I can't really enjoy them much, Ive always felt them a but generic and unpolished, but maybe it's just me.
I know I wanted to like Svanna so much, but she looked way too generic.
but for you, what are some of your favorite NPCs ingame? I'd love to hear what you like about them too!

    Abnur Tharn.
He is much different from many other NPC and I love his comments. He has his own... nature... and acts as he suppose to act.

Many characters are just nothing special at all and are forgotten as soon as they are out of sight.

I loved to hate General Tanval Indoril from Stonefalls as an ally. He was so arrogantly certain that he was doing the right thing while my Vestige was like "Hold up, using necromancy ancestral worship to unleash a volcano is generally what the bad guys do..."

I really enjoyed getting to know Valsirenn and Iachesis from Summerset. Valsirenn is older and has experienced loss that deeply effected her, yet she handles it much more maturely than most of ESO's characters with similar backstories. Likewise, Iachesis was a refreshing subversion of the "wise old mentor" and a notable contrast to the attitude of his two most famous students: Mannimarco and Venus Galerion.

There are other characters I liked. Eveli's bubbly naivete was a fantastic foil for my older, bitter Vestige in Orsinium. Aranias finding fulfillment as the Wilderqueen instead of the Veiled Heritance. Queen Marsha holding the Covenant together in the background. I could go on and on.

But those are the ones who made the biggest difference in my characters' stories.

Fennorian, because he doesn't have that "great warrior/mage/whoever" label slapped on while being very skilled and competent and because he is just a really nice person and my "pixel crush".
Abnur for all his wisdom and vitriol.
Leythen because he's so edgy and a perfect execution of "a jerk who's a good but very hurt person" trope.
Galerion, because it's hilarious how he always talks to the player as if we have intelligence of a fork.
Fa-Nuit-Hen, because he looks like a cat, and Tutor Riparius for how he remembers all the stuff for his master.
Darien because he's a true comrade and a real friend.
Mazza-Mirri, because, I believe, she was the first Alfiq I met. And all the other Alfiq too, really, including Sereyne, Clan Mother Tadali, even Fezez.
Vanos siblings because they always share their adventures with us.
    Rigurt! Because it's Rigurt.
    Zhasim for his story.
Magister Fridelja, not sure why, but I found her to be a really memorable character.

I can go on and on. I don't think there's a quest NPC I wouldn't be happy to meet again, all like "hey! I know you!". Even if it's Narsis Dren I'm all anticipation of how we are going to inconvenience him this time.

    Rigurt the Brash.
I can't help it, everytime I see him appear in another chapter/dlc I just have to chuckle at the mishaps we've gone through and I go ahead and help him through his next poorly planned (but well intentioned) scheme. Seeing him pop up every so often as I go world traveling always brings a smile to my face.

Otherwise I'd say Naryu Virian. (I know I know, everyone seems to like her...) But she was the first npc I met (my first character started with the morrowind training scenario) so we had a special connection from the start, and helping her (and vice versa) throughout the quests has been very fun. That and I love her attitude towards life in general.

Abner Tharn IMHO has the best combination of arrogant attitude combined with trying to do 'the right thing' for the Empire. His understanding of his own audacity ( he remarks that his effect on most people is to want to kill him ) is a great balance. Many characters you see in stories are oblivious to their own short comings.

    IMHO

Captain Rana and Sergeant Seyne who died at the Bal Foyen Docks during the Covenant invasion while I had chosen the option to help the civilians during the Crossroads and thus was fighting off the smurfs at the local fort.. Too many events have happened since that time, but I still remember those two Dunmeri warriors, beautiful women, loyal soldiers of our Pact and simply good people. Ah, those smurfs.. What have you done..

Fennorian because he is also MY pixel crush. Why? He's not one of those insufferably contemptuous Altmer. When he had to be rescued from certain bad guys I was like, "Right, now it's personal!" There's nothing I and, by extension, my main, wouldn't do for him.

I can concur with Ratinira, Abnur Tharn is by far my favorite NPC, he has his style and thoroughly enjoy the quest he's involved with.

BTW, I don't believe he's dead, he'll show up somewhere in the future with his usual manner "Save your posturing, Sai. I missed you, too, but we have a bigger problem to deal with."

Second runner up would be Rigurt the Brash, always trying to be the diplomat with quote like "She is the apple in my tart and the rabbit in my meatball!" or "Everything should be tough! Our teeth can't grow stronger if we don't challenge them with unyielding treats. When Rigurt was a baby his mother had him suck on rocks to comfort his sore gums. Now his bite is strong enough to snap a bristleback's tusk!"

Can't wait to see what he does next

Drake of Blades is the best character in the game.

Best example of a sensitive person trying to be (and succeeding at) being a badass I've seen.

Runner up would be Velsa of the Thieves Guild.

Tough gal with a heart of gold.

Abnur Tharn is certainly an enjoyable character, especially when being riled by Lyris.

However, Cadwell has to be a firm favourite of mine, dear old John Cleese voices him so splendidly - but then I'm a bit biased being British and having enjoyed Cleese's humour since my adolescent years when some of us used to perform his sketches locally, having been hooked on the radio program "I'm sorry I'll read that again" which ran from 1964 to 1973 and has only recently been repeated. It led to various other shows including, ultimately, Monty Python. So for me, it's Cadwell.

Clan Mother Tadali made me smile more than any other character.... her interaction with Za'ji is priceless. Definitely one of the highlights of Dragonhold.
