20 Minutes Begging for Kvatch Arena Share...

Spent 20 minutes at gate of Kvatch arena almost spamming zone chat for arena quest share. I counted 3 boss kills and 15 players run upstairs across all 3 kills to complete quest with NPC above.

Would be nice if both quests were made available to players, because it would seem, based on tonight's evidence and the last few weeks, that much of the playerbase don't know how to share a quest or couldn't be bothered to do so. #feelsbadman

I did get the quest for 4th kill, but it shouldn't have taken so long.

It is lame that no one grouped you but why wouldn't you just come back the next day? It's the same for WB in every zone.

Well, they are daily quests, so just returning the following day would mean missing out on today's.

Wait. I'm confused. Why would you be missing out? If you get the Minotaur, you get the daily and don't need the arena. If you get the arena, you don't need a group.

Unless you want to do two dailies each day?

Yes, I like to get the two dailies there done, which is what I eluded to in my OP by suggesting to allow players pick up both. I am chasing both motif styles.

So you're complaing that you had to wait to do a quest you were not entitled to do ?

    I'm glad people ignored you

A lot of people like to do both dailies (or in other cases all six) for a greater chance at the motifs, and since The Gold Coast has two motifs that drop from dailies, the potential reward is worth the time.

It sucks having witnessed three groups kill the Kvatch Arena worldboss without them sharing the quest at all. Sometimes you just have to be persistent. I personally try and share my worldboss quest even if I am in the middle of the fight and it is apparently clear that another player was orphaned from a group and did not get a share.

Plus I enjoy the feeling of helping other players. There are many other players with the same attitude. Sometimes just have to be patient for one to show up.

Now, as for why WB and delve dailies cannot really be all given at once: The process is not random. In fact, there are also ties with other dailies - for instance in Western Skyrim when I get the Vampire Feeding Grounds quest, I always get the delve quest for The Scraps. The next day, it is always Midnight Barrow and Colossus Charging Station. The same applies to the crafting dailies - and I have those committed to memory: if the Enchanting quest involves a Stamina rune, it will always also follow that I need to make two bows and a shield for Woodworking, a single ring and necklace for Jewelrycrafting, leather armor for Clothier and a dagger, helm and pauldron for Blacksmithing. The predictability is actually really nice because I can even craft for all of the writs three to six days ahead of time, and I even figured out that Alchemy is on an 8 day cycle and thus synchronizes with the rest of the writ dailies every 24 days because they are all on a 3 day cycle.
I simp for vampire lords and Glemyos Wildhorn

Do you actually spend time in the Gold Coast? Every 5 minutes or so there are peeps on zone chat looking for either a mino share or an arena share. It's normally not a problem like I experienced earlier.

If other people's misfortunes make you glad, that's a massive tell about the type of person you are.

While it might be nice to have someone share, they are under absolutely no obligation to do so. It seems you've built up an expectation that this should just happen. There could be any number of reasons why you didn't get a share this time, but never go in with the expectation that you should get a quest share.

You could always try friends or guildmates or perhaps use a few alts to get more of the quests done daily. If your usual path is difficult, try the path of least resistance rather than bulldozing down the same path you usually take.

That's a fair tip. I did expect to get a shared quest much easier based on previous experience getting them. Anyhow, I'll press on with different expectations.

Get the daily and form your own group. Then while in group let people know you want to do all the dailies and ask them to stick around for quest share. Lots of people seem adverse to making a group, but will stay once in a group and the leader is doing the chat work to get the daily quests to share.

You can switch to an alternate character in less time. Usually, you would get the other quest on a different character. It's been like three years though since I last bothered with them, so who knows...

During my 3+ years of playing this game, one thing I've seen over and over is how players in zones that have daily delve and group boss quests are always asking for shares because they like to do all of the dailies each day.

Insulting or deriding another player because they were asking for a share seems callous and antisocial considering how many players do it every single day.

If you don't have the quest to share, or have it but don't feel like sharing it for whatever reason-- see below-- then just ignore the other player; no need to get nasty and insult them.

One possible reason for not getting a share is that the players who have the quest aren't able to invite you to group with them, either because they aren't the group leader or because you're already in a group (even if everyone else in your group is offline).

And even if they're able to invite you to group and you accept, they won't be able to share the quest for you if you've already got a daily quest of the same type; you'll either need to abandon the quest you've already got, or complete it and turn it in so you can accept another one of that type when a player offers to share it with you.

Don't the quests rotate so you would still get that one in your rotation?

I can say I would not have seen your request in chat as I keep zone off since it is often filled with junk. I pay attention to chat more since it does not include zone.

Sorry you had to wait that long but maybe get a guild group going that does these regularly. With a group like that someone is likely to get the quest you want. This will be much more effective that the results of this thread.

I wonder, rather than standing at the arena, what about standing at the quest board/giver? Maybe someone who isn't interested in the running the quest but might see your request and try to grab it for you.

    @OP

Try whispering people before the boss fight starts. I have found better luck from that then zone chat, as a lot of people ignore Zone chat because they don't want to listen to ads but will happily share with you if asked directly.
