Are there always the same number of chests in dungeons (normal or vet)?

Just finished running Arx Corinium for the pledge today (normal cus I'm running solo) and came across 4 chests in the dungeon.

For some reason, I always thought it was 2 per normal, but clearly, I've just picked that up from nowhere.

Should I be keeping my eyes peeled for 4 chests per dungeon or does RNG play a part? With the keen eye for treasure chests, they're obviously a lot easier to find than before.

No. ZOS guarantees two chests for 4 person dungeons that we run for pledges. For Normal mode they can go as low as Simple or as high as Master. For Vet mode they will never be lower than Intermediate and obviously go up to Master.

I have gotten five chests from Arx and then again only 2. I use Harvest Map to make sure I check all the spawn locations.

But two is minimum. Max is ??

@Stanx There's always 2 chest per dungeon, base game or dlc, regardless of the dungeon's difficulty.

@JanTanhide The highest number I've found so far was on Arx Corinium: 5 chests.

Oh yes! I have that on one character and it sure does help find the chests.

You will always see a lot of chests in Arx (some spawns in the tower behind the boss as well) like you will always find a lot of HS in Selene´s
