I would disagree that everyone doing it is a troll - many of them will have been brought up in an environment where sexism and racism are acceptable or sadly even the norm. and who've had no actual parental role model of decent human behaviour or anyone to teach them what is inappropriate.

So it’s wrong to inform people of the problem and wrong to try to get the attention of ZOS so they will fix it? Hmmm. Can’t say I agree with you there. It’s important to discuss issues like this so people know what to watch out for and people who have experienced similar things know they aren’t alone.
Edit: Also, you do realize this goes way beyond “being mean” right? Based on OP’s description, this sounds like legit hate speech meant to intimidate and degrade. So yeah, I don’t blame her for being upset.

It is unlikely those trolls frequent the forums as we represent such a small portion of the active player base. So yea, it is possible they will read this thread, but improbable.

There always will be trolls and idiots. What do you expect ZOS to do?

Make psychological profile of every player before letting them join? All that they can do is to act on your report or make profanity filter even more ridiculous, that's it. It's up to you to remember that, however disgusting, most of those idiots are completely harmless.

I expect Zos to ban them. Maybe a social ban to start and, at some point, a permanent ban. They do not need to create psychological profiles on players to recognize what is clearly hate speech actually happening in-game. Those trolls are a tiny part of the player base, so banning them will not be noticed in the revenue and profit and will send a message that Zos is serious about the changes they recently made to the TOS.

In the end, it is a good idea for Zos to rid the game of this small portion of the players that take trolling to an extreme that is obviously against the TOS. It creates a more hospitable environment for decent customers that make up the bulk of ESO.
