Crowns purchased from linked Steam account not showing up - how long does it take?

I had previously in another thread (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/541542/eso-account-with-eso-page-want-to-purchase-eso-with-steam-is-possible) whether if I had purchased ESO from the ESO site itself, could I purchase crowns etc from Steam. I was told that yes I could, as long as my ESO and Steam accounts were linked. In fact, I didn't even need to download the game from Steam in that case.
I just purchased 750 crowns from Steam. It has been over 1 hour and the new crowns are not showing up on my accounts page here or in game. How long does it take to show in my ESO account? Is there something I need to do to trigger it. My ESO and Steam accounts have been linked for more than a month.
