More Speed=More Damage?

When you have a buff that increases movement speed, does it also increase the speed of light and heavy attacks thereby increasing damage?

No, nor does it let you bypass the global cooldown on skills.

Its just as it says on the tin, more speed! Now can more speed help you deal more damage? In PVP depending on the situation the answer can be yes, but its not the direct cause of achieving more damage.

No, as others have said it has no impact on the speed at which your attacks or skills fire. Speed can indirectly lead to dealing more damage though. In the right hands, speed is the defense, so the player can solely focus on offense.

If I’m dancing around you on my wild hunt speedcro, and you’re struggling to target or hit me, I’m not having to block, break free, cleanse or heal. That means my time and resources are fully dedicated to killing you.

You should really consider not running wild hunt. It is terribly inefficient. A mythic is equivalent to a 5 piece bonus, monster bonus, weapon bonus. So to get 15% movement speed you give up a potential clever alch proc of 660wd.

Compared to swift jewelry 14% movement speed which if you ran two you would lose two infused at the price of 200wd.

A cool thought I had a while back was to make stamsorc's have more actual class identity through their affinity for speed and mobility. Concept was that you could ramp up damage based on distance travelled. So building for mobility and speed could net you damage gains.

In PvP more speed = less damage. If you have a build with really high speed, many times the attacks cannot be registered properly vs you. On top of that the speed gives you better chance to LoS.
