Crafting Certification - quest question

I noticed there was a quest marker above the "Consumable Writs" board but ignored it, and started the quest by talking to one of the master crafters instead and completed it. so the quest is no longer available from the board.
Did I miss something by starting the quest this way instead? I'm afraid of having missed content in doing so

The initial quest is to bring you to the master crafter. Another quest will not show up until you complete their work since you already have the related quest. I do not recall if it is the day you complete the certification or the next day that the first writ shows up.

But you are fine as long as you complete the quest.

so you're saying it doesn't make a difference if I start the quest from the board vs. starting by talking to Millenith or Danel?

You can only do one certification at the time, when you finished you will see the quest marker for the rest. Note, this is the certification quest to do writs not the writs, those you can do all at the same time.

I'm not talking about the crafting certification quests thought.
I'm talking about the very first quest in the chain where you introduce yourself to the craft masters - this quest https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Crafting_Certification

This is before any of the certification quests

No, it doesn't make any difference.

Thanks. I get pretty OCD about these things so was considering restarting the game for having missed the board interaction. Will try myself to push through.

No, it doesn't make any difference.

You can start doing daily writs the same day that you're certified to do writs; you don't need to wait until the next day.
