Help me gear my Magsorc

Hi guys, i'm a mostly soloing magsorc running MOther's sorrow and Overwhelming. I was wondering if it's worth to replace overwhelming for Stuhn's Favor. Also, for groups, what would be better Julianos, Necropotence or Stuhns?

Overwhelming is a pretty decent set if you are ok staying in melee range. I doubt Necropotence gets you meaningfully better results, Stuhn's I would not recommend for pve at all, you might get somewhat better results with Julianos, but if you are mainly running around solo doing overland content it probably isn't going to make much of a difference unless you want the freedom to attack more from range.

Thanks so much for your help. Someone long ago said penetration is good. I figured since sorcs don't have it in their toolkit, Stuhns would be a great asset. Thanks so much for the input though!

Penetration is indeed great, but just from passives (light armor 5k+) and alkosh+crusher+minor+major breach(another 11k+) you are sitting very close to cap, even easily going past it in optimized group (without points in CP), and minor is getting strongly buffed next patch too.

That seems like overkill to me. I'd personally stick with one or the other.

I personally favor Medusa over MS, but that is just me.

What about pairing new moon acolyte with Medusa?

New Moon is ok, but the penetration bonus is iffy, and with the recent nerf I'm not sure the set can justify the cost increase any longer.

It is pretty much universally agreed upon that MS or Medusa are the bis second 5 piece sets for most mag builds, even at end game, and you already have one of those. Overwhelming or Julianos should carry you along just fine as your other 5 piece until you start gathering trials gear. Assuming that is something you have any interest in doing.
