Gamepad Mode UI

Don't come for me if this has been discussed already but can Gamepad Mode have an updated UI? I understand that searching and filtering have now been introduced for banks and guild banks but can we have the same for our inventory?
I play on PC but continue to use a controller. I find the UI for gamepad mode so limiting at times. I really prefer the majority of it but it would be really helpful to have tabs to scroll through (LB/RB).
I'm often embarrassed when I'm trying to trade something to someone and it's taking me quite a while to scroll to the bottom of my inventory to find the one piece I need to trade... lol
I have my gamepad mode toggle bound to a button for easy switching but, it would be nice to not have to do that at times.
