Either join a trade guild and price your stuff at or just below other postings or check prices on several different traders then undercut prices in zone chat.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

There's also Tamriel Trade Center, but it might take you a while to price stuff on the site.

If on PC there is an addon (Think it is called Craftsum) that will give you an estimated value of your craft bag. Depending on the size of your craft bag, it could be a pretty significant undertaking. The gold mats will sell like hotcakes assumimg they are priced well, but a lot of mats are going to sit in a vendor, even if priced pretty competitively.

Unless you need the gold for something specific, might be worth letting them accumulate. As a general rule, mat prices tend to go up (certainly not all the time or with all mats). Gold in your bank does not accumulate interest. I took a 6 month break and saw the value of my craftbag increase by several million gold (granted it is worth well into 8 figures to begin with). If it had just been gold, it would have stayed the same. It's almost like an investment portfolio in many ways. Only sell what you need, otherwise, let it ride.
